We have arranged for an exciting adventure to Stowe, Vermont. Spend three nights at the beautiful , Picturesque, tranquility, and natural beauty describe the framework of a picture book setting at Lodge in Stowe, Vermont. This unique mountain resort, borders Mt. Mansfield State Forest in the Green Mountains. left and toured for 18 years musically. In 1942, the family discovered Stowe, an area much like their beloved Austria.

We will stop along the way at Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory for a 30-minute guided factory tour and enjoy your favorite ice cream flavor or try a new one! After the tour we will continue on to Trapp Family Lodge, a little of Austria…. A lot of Vermont! Situated on 2,500 acres in beautiful Stowe, Vermont, the Lodge is a unique mountain resort featuring Austrian-inspired architecture and European-style accommodations. The Lodge offers stunning mountain views, old-world comforts and impeccable service, along with activities for every season. Upon arrival enjoy free time to familiarize yourself with the resort before heading to a 3-course dinner in the dining room at the Lodge. The expansive wood-paneled room offers a relaxed, gourmet dining experience complimented with attentive service and beautiful mountain views. Following dinner, the evening is free. There is evening entertainment in the lounge or a movie in St. George’s Hall or perhaps you might want to take a dip in the newly renovated swimming pool.

On Monday morning we will start the day with a bounteous Vermont country breakfast. After breakfast there will be a history tour of the Trapp Family Lodge in St. George’s Hall. The Trapp Family lodge is more than a hotel, it’s a home with years and years of history. Explore the property and learn about the family’s extensive history. After the tour the rest of the day is yours to enjoy the lodge. The motor coach will be available to take guests to the Village of Stowe for shopping and dining. Lunch and dinner will be on your own today and there are many choices between the lodge and Stowe.

Tuesday morning, we will visit the Shelburne Museum, an unparalleled and unique experience of American history, art and design. Designed to allow visitors the pleasure of discovery and exploration, the museum includes thirty-nine distinct structures on forty-five acres, each filled with beautiful, fascinating, and whimsical objects. As you stroll from building to building you will enjoy the view of over 20 gardens on the property. After the museum visit, we will depart for Burlington where we will visit Church Street Marketplace for lunch (on your own) at the outdoor pedestrian mall with great shopping, galleries and restaurants. We will return to the resort for some free time and a dinner buffet at the Trapp Family Lodge Observation Deck located in the new Trapp Bierhall/Restaurant that overlooks the operations of the brewery.

We will depart from the resort Wednesday morning following breakfast. The group will stop and have time to shop at the Vermont Annex where you will find Cabot Cheese, Lake Champlain Chocolate, Smugglers Notch Distillery and Danforth Pewter. The last stop before we head home will be for lunch at The Waybury Inn- for nearly a decade Bob Newhart entertained audience with his hit TV show, Newhart. In the show, Bob and his wife decide to leave their hectic life in NYC and buy a beautiful Inn in Vermont. To our delight, Hollywood came knocking at the Waybury Inn’s door!

The Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe has been an iconic feature of the Vermont landscape for more than half a century. PAYMENT POLICY:

*$300.00/person deposit due by, April 24, 2020. Please complete the attached registration form with check made out to Town of Marcellus and return it to the Marcellus Town Clerk’s Office with your deposit payment by 4:30 p.m. on or before April 24, 2020.

*Once the trip is set, we will mail you information regarding payment deadlines for the balance of the trip. If you need to cancel on this trip, you will not receive a refund on the deposit. If you cancel after the final payment has been made, you will receive a partial refund at the discretion of Lasting Impression Tours on that payment.

*We need at least 35 people in order for this trip to go by Friday April 24, 2020. If we do not get 35 people, we will cancel the trip and your full deposit will be refunded to you. Also, we are not able to take any more than 44 passengers so make your reservations early. If we do receive more than 44 reservations names will be placed on a waiting list.
