IN SUPPORT OF REF (A), RESERVE COMPONENT COMMAND (RCC) WILL HOST A RETURNING WARRIOR WORKSHOP (RWW) APRIL 16-18, 2010, AT THE SHERATON NORFOLK WATERSIDE HOTEL. THE RWW PROGRAM IS A CNO/YELLOW RIBBON SPONSORED EVENT DESIGNED TO HONOR SAILORS WHO HAVE COMPLETED AN IA ASSIGNMENT IN SUPPORT OF OIF/OEF, PARTICULARLY SAILORS WITH COMBAT ZONE EXPERIENCE OR THOSE EXPOSED TO HIGHLY STRESSFUL SITUATIONS DURING DEPLOYMENT. THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL IA SAILORS, ACTIVE COMPONENT (AC) AND RESERVE COMPONENT (RC). MARRIED SAILORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO BRING THEIR SPOUSE AND SINGLE SAILORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO BRING A SIGNIFICANT OTHER OR A FAMILY MEMBER. 2. ATTENDEES ARE REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ALL HANDS PRESENTATIONS, BREAK-OUT GROUPS AND DISCUSSION GROUPS THAT ADDRESS VARIOUS COMPONENTS OF THE DEPLOYMENT PROCESS (PRE-DEPLOYMENT/DEPLOYMENT/POST-DEPLOYMENT). DISCUSSION TOPICS ARE DESIGNED TO HELP ATTENDEES IN THEIR EFFORTS TO SUCCESSFULLY REINTEGRATE BACK INTO THEIR FAMILY LIFE AND THE NORMAL NAVY WORK ENVIRONMENT. THE WEEKEND PROVIDES AMPLE OPPORTUNITIES FOR ATTENDEES TO SHARE THEIR DEPLOYMENT STORIES WITH EACH OTHER, BUILD TRUST, CAMARADERIE AND NORMALIZE THEIR EXPERIENCES. 3. ATTENDEES WILL STAY AT THE SHERATON WATERSIDE IN NORFOLK, VA. A BUFFET DINNER WILL BE PROVIDED FRIDAY NIGHT. BREAKFAST AND LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. THE "BANQUET OF HONORS" WILL BE HELD SATURDAY NIGHT TO HONOR THE SAILOR AND HIS/HER SPOUSE FOR THEIR SUPPORT AND SACRIFICES. 4. PARENT COMMANDS WILL PROVIDE NECESSARY TRAVEL FUNDING FOR THE IA SAILOR AND THEIR GUEST TO ATTEND THE RWW UTILIZING COST-OF-WAR FUNDING PROCEDURES AS DESCRIBED IN THE FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT REGULATION, DOD 7000.14-R, VOLUME 12, CHAPTER 23. IF PARENT COMMAND FUNDING IS UNAVAILABLE, DIRECT ALL FUNDING REQUESTS TO USFF POCS. 5. INVITATIONAL TRAVEL ORDERS ARE AUTHORIZED FOR TRAVEL EXPENSES FOR SPOUSE/FAMILY MEMBER/SIGNIFICANT OTHER. LODGING IS INCLUDED IN THE RWW PROGRAM AND IS FREE TO THE IA SAILOR AND THEIR GUEST. 6. THE RWW IS A REINTEGRATION PROGRAM OF THE HIGHEST CALIBER.
