LHIN

Denise Waddick, Kelly Griffiths and I met with Ralph Ganter on September 19th. Ralph talked about the LHIN Sub-regions – for ESC-LHIN there will possibly be 5 sub-regions – Windsor, Windsor Centre, Essex, Chatham- Kent, and Sarnia Lambton but as of yet nothing has been confirmed. Ralph did confirm that each sub-region will have clinical leadership and an Administrative Director who will be employed by the LHIN. Community consultation sessions are being held across the LHIN at this time with a final report to be submitted by the LHIN to the MOH by the end of September.

The link below is the slides from the LHIN Community Engagement sessions pertaining to the sub-regions. http://www.eriestclairlhin.on.ca/Community%20Engagement/Engagement%20Activities/Sub-Region %20Engagement.aspx

As the legislature was prorogued all bills (including Patients’ First) will need to be re-introduced. Ralph anticipates very minor changes to the Patients’ First bill when it is re-introduced.
