<p> Chatham-Kent Family Health Team Executive Director’s Report September 28, 2016 Submitted by Laura Johnson</p><p>Statistical Indicators (Rostered Patients)</p><p>Rostered number as at August 31, 2016 – 37,443 (previous month – 37,381)</p><p>AFHTO (Assoc. of Family Health Teams of Ontario</p><p>No further updates re: compensation at this time.</p><p>Kelly Griffiths from the Tilbury District FHT is our ED representative on the Executive Director’s Advisory Committee at AFHTO. Kelly attended the EDAC meeting on Friday September 16. At that time AFHTO confirmed that the FHT contract for 2017/18 will remain with the MOHLTC. </p><p>Patient Recruitment</p><p>The following physicians/NPs are/is still accepting patients:</p><p>Dr. Muhammad Afzal (Wallaceburg) Dr. Will Saxena (Wallaceburg) (limited) Jason Bartell (Chatham)</p><p>Personnel Report</p><p>Nothing to report at this time.</p><p>LHIN</p><p>Denise Waddick, Kelly Griffiths and I met with Ralph Ganter on September 19th. Ralph talked about the LHIN Sub-regions – for ESC-LHIN there will possibly be 5 sub-regions – Windsor, Windsor Centre, Essex, Chatham- Kent, and Sarnia Lambton but as of yet nothing has been confirmed. Ralph did confirm that each sub-region will have clinical leadership and an Administrative Director who will be employed by the LHIN. Community consultation sessions are being held across the LHIN at this time with a final report to be submitted by the LHIN to the MOH by the end of September. </p><p>The link below is the slides from the LHIN Community Engagement sessions pertaining to the sub-regions. http://www.eriestclairlhin.on.ca/Community%20Engagement/Engagement%20Activities/Sub-Region %20Engagement.aspx</p><p>As the legislature was prorogued all bills (including Patients’ First) will need to be re-introduced. Ralph anticipates very minor changes to the Patients’ First bill when it is re-introduced. </p><p>MOHLTC</p><p>No further update regarding the MOHLTC compensation restructuring. Blenheim:</p><p>I have not heard back from Brendan Boyd so have reached out to him again. Should I hear back from him prior to Wednesday I will provide an update at the meeting.</p><p>Wallaceburg: </p><p>Thank you so much to Dr. Hassan for accepting a new refugee family into his practice. </p><p>Dresden:</p><p>Starting November 1, Drs. Ng and Ibrahim will both be practicing part-time and sharing space. Further discussion will be held at the meeting.</p><p>Ridgetown:</p><p>The Howard Mutual Foundation currently has funding available to assist medical students with their training. I will bring this to our next Physician Recruitment and Retention Committee Meeting which will be held on September 29th.</p>
