Volunteer Driver: Role Description

Responsible to: Manager, Manchester Mind Cafe / Good Mood Food

General

To deliver buffets to a range of organisations in Manchester. To be responsible for notifying the Café manager of any repairs required. To take responsibility for the general upkeep of the van, including cleaning, checking oil and water etc and ensuring it is roadworthy at all times. Report any collisions or accidents immediately to Cafe Manager.

Specific duties:

To deliver buffets for Good Mood food across the city of Manchester.

Ability to carry food trays and load/unload from delivery van and deliver to customer.

To take part in training to develop skills and role as a representative of Manchester Mind.

To take part in supervision with a Manchester Mind member of staff in order to discuss achievements, difficulties, training needs and safeguarding issues

To identify any safeguarding issues or concerns to Cafe Staff

To work within Manchester Mind policies and procedures
