Reading Connections for today will be held in science classes. Don’t forget your book! This week is Teacher Appreciation Week AND School Food & Nutrition Worker Appreciation Week. Students, please thank these hard-working individuals for all they do when you have the opportunity. The PTSO will be holding a final Friday Fun Day on Friday, May 5, from 3:15 to 5:15 p.m. Tickets are on sale this week in the cafeteria during all lunch shifts.

The Principal’s Honor Roll Celebration will be held Tuesday, May 16, from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. in the Cafeteria. Invitations will be distributed the week before the event. Mark your calendars!

The SOL Pep Rally will be held Monday, May 8. Students, study hard for your SOLs so you can win raffle tickets and get prizes for your knowledge . . . like gift cards to Amazon, iTunes, Nike, Chipotle, Starbucks, AMC, Best Buy, GameStop, and things like LED light speakers, bluetooth headphones, iPhone cases, portable power bank, candy, etc. Also, during the Pep Rally we will have a talent show. If you want to perform, see Mr. Qarni in Room 15 ASAP. Also, each homeroom teacher will pick one student to compete in our first ever bottle flip challenge during the Pep Rally. There can only be one person designated from each homeroom. Ask your homeroom teacher to submit your name.
