Lighthouse Scholarship Examination Examination Regulations

1 The Sutton Park School Lighthouse Scholarship Examination will take place on SATURDAY, 11th NOVEMBER 2017.

2 An application fee of €60.00 is required for this Examination. 3 The Examination is open to all Grade 6 pupils entering 1st Year Senior School in September 2018.

4 The Examination is set for pupils at their current age level. Its purpose is to identify and reward potential high academic achievers. No special preparation is required.

5 Before an applicant can be considered for a Lighthouse Scholarship, a full application for entry to Sutton Park School must be submitted to:- Admissions - Main Office Sutton Park School St Fintan’s Road Sutton, Dublin 13

If you have not yet submitted an application for entry to the school prior to the scholarship exam, please accompany this form with your admission application. Forms and details are found under “Downloads/Admissions” on our website www.suttonparkschool.com

6 Your Application will be acknowledged and detailed information about the procedures for the day will be posted to you, provided we receive your completed Application Form by Friday 3 rd November 2017.

7 Candidates should arrive to register at 9.00 am. The Examination will begin at 9.30 am and should finish at 12.30 pm approximately. Candidates will have a break during the morning.

8 The Examination comprises two papers: The School does not provide past exam papers for viewing. . Mathematics . English (Comprehension)

9 All Examination papers will be retained by the School and may not be taken away or reviewed by the candidates. No Examination scripts will be returned.

10 Awards are made at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee. All decisions made by the Scholarship Committee are final.

11 Scholarships are awarded upon entry into First Year in the Senior School. They are intended to extend over the recipient’s entire six years at Sutton Park Senior School. However, they are dependent on the recipient maintaining a high academic standard, and this is reviewed annually.
