2. Additional text presented to indicate ‘Registrar alert’ message under ‘Registration details (non “Access is Restricted” registrations) and ‘Ordinal search results’ layout segments.
3. Textual description change in search certificate layout segment when no registrations have been returned in the search. Please refer to layout segment – ‘Registration Details (no registrations returned)’.
R5a 4. For all search certificate where the heading ‘Search Criteria Details’ appears, change to PPSR registration state searched. See e.g. section 3.5 layout segment PPSR Registration Details, non “Access is Restricted” registrations.
5. For all Search Certificates prefix the following with PPSR:

1 Introduction The objective of this document is to present graphic design specifications for Search Certificates.
This document contains the (graphic) design layouts for Search Certificates.
5 of 31 Search Certificates Graphic Design
2 PPSR Search Certificates
2.1 Types of Search Certificates
The following search certificates are produced:
1. PPSR Registration number search certificate 2. Serial number search certificate 3. Grantor search certificate 4. Ordinal search certificate
6 of 31 Search Certificates Graphic Design
3 Design Specifications
3.1 Design Template
Physical presentation will be done by overlaying fields onto a “Design Template” that defines logo placement (Australian Financial Security Authority logo and PPSR logo), heading and body text styles for a common look and feel.
3.1.1 Fonts
The font that will be used on all search certificates will be Arial. For some fields Arial Unicode may be used.
Each element is defined with a style which will specify its font characteristics: for example bold, italics, size.
The following styles apply:
H1: 14, Bold H2: 12 H3: 12, italics H4: 12, Bold T1: 10 T3: 9.5 T4: 9.5 T8 : 10, Font – Light grey in colour P1: 10 F1: 10 F2: 10
3.2 Design Layout
Physical presentation a Search Certificate is achieved by a design layout comprised of a number of design segments, which in turn contain design elements. Each design segment may have permutations. Design segments may have permutations and are re-used across Search Certificates.
7 of 31 Search Certificates Graphic Design
3.2.1 Design layout Rules
Following design layout rules apply to Search Certificates:
1. Where a design segment does not exist, the search certificate should print the next applicable design segment; i.e. do not show the blank design segment as white space. 2. When a field is not relevant, the search certificate should print the next applicable field; i.e. do not show the field as white space (unless otherwise specified). For example: a. If the Vehicle registration number field is not relevant for the collateral registration, the Vehicle registration number field will not exist for the search certificate. 3. Consistency of presentation. For example:
a. Presentation of the words: “Personal Property Securities Act 2009” will always be in italics, with the same font size and style.
4. Footers are configurable to allow for an element to be updated or replaced or eliminated at any time.
3.3 Search Certificates Design Specifications
Design specifications corresponding to Search Certificate types are provided in the following pages
The border around each design specification layout diagram is only a delimiter for the purpose of this document.
