The Runaway Dolls Author: Ann M. Martin By: Christine Aca-Ac
The genre is fiction because this story is about a doll named Annabelle Doll who can speak and talk.
It’s about a doll named Annabelle who found a strange package downstairs. She convinced that the doll inside the strange package was her long lost sister. A hundred years ago when the Doll family was sold they were accidentally delivered with a baby from a different doll set. The Doll family loves their adopted baby, but they have always wondered what happened to their real baby. One day Annabelle opened the package and saw a little doll named Tilly who had been stuck in the box for over 100 years. She didn’t know what to do so one day they went outside to run away with her little sister Tilly and her best friend Tiffany.
The main character is Annabelle Doll.
The setting is in the Palmer’s house and outside.
The theme is if you find something that you think is yours and you know that your parents will tell you not to keep it because they know that you’ll be in danger, listen to them or else you’ll end up like Annabelle who found her long lost sister and ended up getting lost in the park because she didn’t listen to her parents.
A person who would like this book is a kid who is interested in dolls. My favorite part was when they got lost and ended up in the mall and met other dolls that could talk and also move around.
This is my favorite book because this book teaches you a lesson to always listen to your parents no matter how important it is to you.
The author should write another book about this with Tilly on it because I’ve read the whole series and haven’t seen Tilly mentioned on one of those books except this one.
If you like this book you’d definitely like the book, House on Hackman’s Hill.
