Auto-Manager Setup Administrators

Classroom Auto-Manager Setup Auto-Manager Setup Auto-Manager enables you to manage enrollment in an event, like a classroom training class, automatically using a badge reader. Once setup is complete, the program will be ready to begin taking attendance, or enrolling learners who arrive for the event. The Auto Manager is located under Classes & Events on the Administrator menu.

Steps to Setup an Event 1. Validate that your badge reader is operational. 2. Verify data quality. 3. Select an event. 4. Select the mode. (Take attendance OR Enroll and take attendance.) 5. Start accepting learners.

Step 1. Badge Reader Check. Click in the field below, and then scan your badge. It should recognize you by displaying your name, and give you the option to proceed.

IMPORTANT – The badge ID will need to be submitted with the HR download listed as a field called Badge ID. This is required even if the badge ID and the unique ID are the same. Step 2. Verify Data Quality. Check that your name, or the name on the badge you scanned, is displayed. A. If displayed correctly then select the This is Correct button and move to Step 3. B. If the name on the scanned badge is not displayed, you may have an issue with your badge ID data within the HR data. Attempt to scan another badge. If the badge ID is not recognized, you should contact your Client Service Associate at 866-344-2088. Step 3. Select an Event. Click the Select an Event button to search for the event you want to manage. Click on the course name of the event to begin the enrollment process. Step 4. Select the Mode. Select an enrollment mode from the list and click Begin Event Auto- Manager. A. Take Attendance Only: This selection will only log learners attending the event who are already enrolled. Learners not previously enrolled will not be allowed to proceed past this point. B. Enroll and Log Attendance: This selection will use the badge ID to locate the learner listed in the HR learner file and enroll the learner into the selected class as well as mark the learner as attending the class. Important: Enrollment of learners to an event using this method will not be restricted by the maximum capacity the same as with the enrollment by an administrator. Step 5. Begin scanning badges and taking attendance for selected event.
