1. Introduction

And with that, we kick off season number 23!

The deadline for issue 3 is Friday October 12, at 21:30 CET.

Next issue, you send orders for: * match days 3 and 4 in the league (see section 12)

This round, the home advantage is still 6 VP. The home team is listed first in the league schedule.

In addition, as always, you send coaching. Optionally, you can also discover talents and buy/sell players.

Jed Stone, Frillby United: «From Sports Section:- LONGDALE COURIER – Skelsthorpe Ragsdale and Mange, Solicitors at law announced today that the Multi Billionaire and recluse Sir James Estdale has bought a controlling interest in Frillby United. Sir James, known for his interest in saving failing business, recently turned his attention to sport. His name has been recently linked with a possible sponsor ship for Saturday Morning, but the announcement by the club officials last season, that they are dissatisfied with their position in the league and intend to sink lower(!) caused him to shift his attention to Frillby who, last season, were the lowest in the League structure. Booked: --- ***Regelin dzu Coruthan A tough opening weekend for Botanica who slump to the bottom of the table. The champions were stronger, but only half as much stronger as the scoreline indicates.

Ubermenschen - Serial Killers 0 : 0 Booked: Goethe ***--- A slight upper hand for the home team, but they failed to convert it and have to make do with a goalless draw.

FC Asskickers - Erkrath Gladiators 2 : 0 Scorers: Eddie Guerrero (90.), Hulk Hogan (43.) ***--- FC Asskickers start strongly with a double win weekend, although Erkrath Gladiators did give them much more resistance than it looks like.

Madmartigan City - Night Owls 4 : 0 Scorers: Madman (18.), Soprano (55.), Friends (11.), 3Men (29.) ***--- A solid win for Madmartigan City.

New Generation - Dirigentia con Brio 2 : 3 Scorers: Collar Band (12., 49.) ***Von Karajan (6., 27.), V Aszkenazy (5.) Penalties: - ***- (1 missed) Dirigentia con Brio got off to a strong start, and although Collar Band scored twice in attempted comebacks, they couldn't quite catch up.

Dummys - Kremlin 1 : 0 Scorers: Willem (70.) ***--- A slow game where the home team was stronger, and Willem converted that to a one goal win.

Extreme - Formula 1 Legends 1 : 1 Scorers: Breukink (20.) ***Fernando Alonso (26.) A slight upper hand for the home team, but Formula 1 Legends managed to save one point.

Lake Tanganyika - WrapUp 0 : 0 Lake Tanganyika had a clear dominance of this game, but somehow didn't manage to score.

Stars - Magical World 2 : 1 Scorers: Alhena (86.), Castor (56.) ***Oughat (80.) A fairly entertaining game, even if it took almost an hour before the first goal. Castor scored first, but Oughat equalised, and only four minute remained of the game when Alhena secured the home win.

The Championship Match day 2 ======

Night Owls - Stars 2 : 2 Scorers: Pygmy Owl (31.), Booze Fighter (80.) ***Pollux (8.), Adnan Haidar (43.) Stars took the lead twice in this match and could have won, but Night Owls managed to fight back and claim a draw.

Magical World - Lake Tanganyika 1 : 2 Scorers: Faramir (37.) ***M Auratus (59.), Bifranatus (6.) A close affair that the best team won in the end.

WrapUp - Extreme 1 : 1 Scorers: Keep pushing (24.) ***van Basten (83.) The home team had a clear upper hand, but van Basten saved one point for the visitors late in the game.

Formula 1 Legends - Dummys 3 : 0 Scorers: Fernando Alonso (7., 56.), Kimi Raikkonen (79.) ***--- Penalties: - ***- (1 missed) Booked: Fernando Alonso ***--- A solid game from Formula 1 Legends, who maybe are looking for a quick return to the Premiership_ ?

Make or Break - Slartibartfast FC 2 : 2 Scorers: Heidebrot (80.), Leinsamenbrot (53.) ***--- Penalties: - ***2 Booked: Joghurtbrot ***--- A very solid game by Make or Break, but two dubious penalties let the visitors claim a very lucky point.

Love Songs - Parsifal 0 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Maris Janssons (54.) Booked: Cry Softly, Hallelujah ***--- Despite a slight play advantage to the home side, Parsifal managed to sneak one goal up and get both points.

Queen - Twin Peaks Owls 1 : 1 Scorers: John Deacon (18.) ***Chester Desmond (71.) Queen took an early lead, but the visitors were stronger, so it was well deserved when Chester Desmond equalised in the second half.

Oaks - Valiant City 4 : 1 Scorers: Godiva (24., 30., 72.), Unite (28.) ***Holly Holdtight (77.) A game a lot closer than the scoreline indicates, but Oaks did have an upper hand. A fine debut in Division 1.

Division 1 Match day 2 ======

Tamriel Athletic - Oaks 1 : 1 Scorers: Martin Pusic (65.) ***Unite (37.) A solid play advantage for Tamriel Athletic, but Oaks saved one point.

Valiant City - Queen 0 : 0 Booked: Spandy Sprinter, Tessa Terminator ***--- It was Queen who controlled this match, but after missing their chances, they have to make do with one of the points.

Twin Peaks Owls - Love Songs 5 : 2 Scorers: The Giant (8., 38.), Sam Stanley (12.), Josie Packard (28.), Chester Desmond (63.) ***Mad World (48.), Cry (14.) Booked: --- ***Mad World No doubt where the points were headed here. Twin Peaks Owls were one of the clubs fighting for promotion last season, and they already look like they'll be there this season too.

Suginami Bad Boys - Stadium Dreams 1 : 0 Scorers: Masashi Kitahata (16.) ***--- Booked: --- ***Carrow Road Another one goal win for Suginami Bad Boys, this time while being clearly the better team.

Sjokoladen BK - Gamblers United 5 : 1 Scorers: Milky Way (26., 57.), Toblerone (53., 90.), Japp (27.) ***Connie Confronter (42.) Booked: --- ***Wanda Watcher A game where the home team were stronger, but not nearly enough to deserve five goals.

Lunar Sea - Jirs Park Rangers 1 : 0 Scorers: Portia (10.) ***--- Another solid game from Lunar Sea, and straight to the top of the table with them!

Car Park Rangers - Frock Frogs 1 : 0 Scorers: Magneto (86.) ***--- The visitors had a solid upper hand, but superpowers come in handy sometimes!

The home team, Sheffield Thursday, were only denied a Premiership gold medal in the past by bad luck, and their visitors were new last season. A clear dominance for the home team on the field, but where do the points go? I wonder...

Foxwood City - Yorkies 5 : 1 Scorers: Tony Ravenwood (38., 61.), Scot Croker (42., 89.), Neil Drew (28.) *** LKW Walter (86.) A solid home win for Foxwood City, but not as solid as the scoreline seems to indicate.

Saturday Morning FC - Insomniacz S-Pulse 0 : 3 Scorers: --- ***Alessandro Nesta (20., 44., 71.) Saturday Morning were grealty weakened, only able to field 9 players - which wasn't enough to keep the Insomniacz at bay. pirxy - Song of Ice and Fire 0 : 1 Penalties: - ***1 Sent off: Ireneusz Igla (42.) ***--- Booked: --- ***Ned Stark It's always nice to see a fresh manager get a solid play advantage against my Yoda when it comes to this game, Trond Botnen, but this time, the referee helped the wise experienced one to two lucky points :)
