Pet License Agreement

Eyota City Ordinance #73 Subdivision eight (8) indicates that no person in the City of Eyota shall keep more than two (2) pets without being considered a “Kennel” as defined in Ordinance.

In an effort to keep the amount of pets owned in the City of Eyota to the limit allowed by City Ordinance, the City of Eyota is asking those citizens who currently own more pets than allowed by city ordinance to sign a waiver which creates an agreement between them and the City of Eyota. This agreement will allow those individuals who currently own more than two (2) pets to continue to license those pets with the agreement that more pets will not be added to the household and no pets will replace those that are lost above the limit of two (2). After the agreement is signed no resident will be allowed to license more than two (2) pets unless they are relicensing the same pets they licensed when the agreement was signed. If a resident signs the agreement and proceeds to own more than two (2) pets they will be in violation of Eyota City Ordinance # 73 and subject to any applicable penalties as provided in said ordinance. I also agree that I will not add any pets to my household other than those listed on this form, nor will I replace any pets above the allowed limit of two (2). I further acknowledge that I may be subject to any and all penalties indicated in Eyota City Ordinance #73 if I violate any sections or subdivisions of Eyota City Ordinance #73.
