SUMMARY

Over the past five years, my principal professional activities have been translation, research and writing, editing/proofreading/fact-checking and transcription in both English and French. I am also a veterinarian engaged in occasional part-time companion animal practice.

My translation experience includes research abstracts, peer-reviewed articles, protocols and guidelines as well as hospital patient reports; grant applications and curriculum vitae for university-based engineers and doctors; research presentations for PowerPoint; several scientific and historical exhibitions for two museums in Quebec’s Eastern Townships.

I have authored reports and journal articles on human disease and pharmaceuticals, papers in veterinary clinical research, as well as articles on specific subjects in veterinary history.

I have two years’ experience as a freelance journalist, writing interview-based feature articles for a local daily newspaper on subjects in human medicine, environmental science, companion animals, agriculture, arts and culture, and wildlife biology.
