Overview This session will cover two days of learning the base components of eConnect, which is a primary component of the Developer Toolkit for Microsoft Dynamics GP. In this session you will learn how to utilize the .Net Assembly with eConnect and you will be able to create a custom windows application. We will demonstrate the use of the Incoming and Outgoing services and how they will benefit your specific business needs. This session is instructor led two day course with hands on material presented.

Trainer Bio David Clauson works on the Microsoft Dynamics GP Developer Support Team as a Support Engineer. He started working on the Developer Support team in August of 1999.

Target Audience Microsoft Dynamics GP Partners

Prerequisites Basic knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP table structure and navigation. Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or 2005. Also knowledge of Visual Studio.Net and VB.Net or C# Languages.

o Lab – Setting up a Private Queue in MSMQ

 Outgoing Service

o Lab – Creating a Manual Request

o Lab – Creating a Automatic Request

 Extending Business Logic

Day 2:  Requesters

o Lab – Creating a Custom Requester for Employee Benefits

 BizTalk Adapter

 .Net Assembly

o Lab – Creating a VB.Net Application for Customers

 Demos o Importing Sales Transaction using custom VB.Net Application

o Importing customers from a custom SQL table through VB.Net application

o Sending a xml document to a Message Queue using the Incoming Service
