Peel Children S Aid Foundation Launches Holiday Toy Room November 29Th

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

November 2009

Peel Children’s Aid celebrates Adoption Awareness Month PEEL – Peel Children’s Aid is celebrating Adoption Awareness Month and the compassionate gift adoptive families give to children in need of a permanent home.

“Each child is unique and deserves to feel like they belong,” says Paul Zarnke, Executive Director, Peel Children’s Aid. “Nothing is more rewarding than to see one of the children who have been involved with our agency become a part of a family.”

Adoption is a legal process that gives a child a new family when the birth family is unable to care for him or her. In Ontario, adoption can be arranged through Children’s Aid Societies (public adoption), private adoption agencies and international adoption agencies. “The gift of adoption is not only a benefit to a child, but it is a wonderful way to create, grow and diversify a family,” says Zarnke.

Peel Children’s Aid currently has a need for adoptive families looking to adopt older children. We continually search for families in the Region of Peel so we can meet the needs of children and youth who need a loving, permanent home. To learn more about adoption please visit our website at www.peelcas.org.

Peel Children’s Aid, one of the largest Children’s Aid Societies in Ontario, is a not-for-profit agency that protects children from physical, sexual and emotional abuse and neglect. We help provide safe and loving homes for children and youth by partnering with members of our community and other agencies. Together, we seek out ways to support families and enhance the quality of life for children and youth in Peel Region.
