JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title : Project Administrator

Salary : £16,000 per annum

Hours : 35 hours per week (Mon – Fri, 9am to 5pm)

Responsible to : Project Manager

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

You will assist with the administration and ongoing development of various projects as directed by the Project Manager. This will include inputting information daily onto the Pet Friendly Care Home register, currently consisting of 1400 Care Homes and production of our bi-annual guide.

Under direction, you will help respond to all correspondence regarding each project including sending information, receiving registration forms and registering new homes on the database as well as issuing welcome packs.

A good telephone manner is essential, together with creativity and excellent literacy and ICT skills, coupled with the ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure and prioritise own workload.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: i. Following the direction of our Project Manager, to work under supervision to assist with all aspects of the Pet Friendly Care Home register, ensuring that it is always current and relevant. To have the ability to entice new homes to join the register and to liaise with the Project Manager where necessary. ii. To help source and co-ordinate by phone and email a large group of assessors to visit, assess and report on all Care Homes for the bi-annual guide. To guide the assessors where necessary. iii. To help monitor all assessors, review reports, grade and collate the relevant information on each individual home for publication, prioritising in a timely fashion to printing deadlines and approval of the Project Manager.

- 2 - iv. To be aware of Homes where volunteer help has been enlisted. v. To contribute to the newsletter by identifying stories and helping to produce interesting articles and related issues from our Care Home register, with pictures to accompany. vi. To manage all filing related to the Pet Friendly Care Home register and the Catalogue. vii. To undertake any other projects or duties as required by the Project Manager. viii. To liaise with all other staff of the Trust in a flexible manner. ix. To be familiar with and adhere to The Trust’s procedures, disciplinary and applicable rules and ensure compliance with legislation (Health and Safety, Data Protection, especially the privacy of members, petitioners and volunteers alike). x. At all times to ensure and maintain a compassionate, professional and efficient public image for the Trust.

Together with such additional general duties as the Employer shall reasonably require, having regard to the needs of the Employer’s business as a Charitable Trust.
