Please provide the following materials for application*: (Applications must have all documentation to be considered)  Both an undergraduate and graduate transcript (does not need to be official). New graduate students should send proof of acceptance into a library or information science graduate program. A letter from the dean or director of the graduate program is recommended.

 Current resume.

 Two letters of reference using the Gleaves Scholarship Recommendation Form (may be emailed separately from the application packet).

 A 500-1000 word essay indicating specific competencies or characteristics you have to offer the field of librarianship. Note activities that indicate your potential for achievement in the profession. Explain how receiving the Gleaves Scholarship will help you reach your potential in the profession.

Application materials will be accepted in electronic format via email only. The deadline for submission is Friday, December 2, 2016. The Scholarship Committee will review all completed applications and notify the recipient on or before Friday, December 16, 2016.
