 Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Morris at 6:34 p.m.

Present: Chairman Morris, Commissioners Siepmann, Jensen, Klink, Good, & Newman, Attorney Chapman, Planner Haroldson, and Deputy Clerk Claas Absent: Commissioner Fleming Also Present: Paul Seul, Paul Thusius, Thomas Carroll, Daniel & Kim Schlise, Geoffrey Young, E.J. Schweitzer, Bill Canfield, Tim & Tina Kaschinske, and a few others.

Claas read the public hearing notice.

Schlise stated the business is going to be the same way as Gwen Condon had it. There will be very little bulk materials on site since they have property in Oconomowoc for bulk materials. They will have small quantities of materials as samples. The equipment will be kept at the house in the Town of Erin or at the property in Oconomowoc. He is not adding another building and they will clean up the site. They will be keeping the same name and the same signage. They believe there are seven hoop houses on site and they will bring in potted plants or plants in burlap as needed.

Chairman Morris opened the meeting to public comments and concerns.

Geoffrey Young – 664 Hill St – spoke about the lighted sign being a nuisance to him, the whole roadway turned into a parking lot, semi’s park in front of his house, garbage and plastic are being burned, garbage is flying all over, he’s concerned with noise, and he is concerned with the way the road is overloaded with traffic. He said it’s nothing but trouble and it’s not right. He doesn’t like it and doesn’t want it. Chapman asked if he ever complained to the Town. Young said he had not.

They expect semi’s to deliver a couple of times a week especially in the spring. They plan on putting up security fences and gates. They plan on giving special instructions for delivery trucks and will do their best to alleviate parking problems. They may have trucks come in before business opens.

Chapman stated Schlise has been operating in the City of Oconomowoc and has a credible reputation in the community.

Respectfully submitted,

Holly R Claas Deputy Clerk
