Aristide Faccioli e costruita artigianalmente da Giovanni Battista Ceirano. Visto il successo ottenuto dalla "Welleyes" alla sua presentazione, Bricherasio e Gatti proposero ad un gruppo di conoscenti di acquisire le esperienze, le maestranze e la competenza della "Accomandita Ceirano & C." per trasferirle su scala industriale, come già avveniva nella fabbriche dell'Europa settentrionale. -

Die Autobianchi A112 Homepage Testbericht aus rallye Dauertest Autobianchi racing 5/79 Abarth Sport Kraftwerk im Kleinformat Italienisches PseudoSportwägelchen! Diese oder ähnliche Worte werden häufig über ihn vernommen. Selbst Sporterfolge haben dem Autobianchi Abarth Sport in Deutschland nicht zum erhofften Image verholfen. Um ehrlich zu sein, auch mir schien auf den ersten Blick der ,,Planschi" - wie der Dauertestwagen freundschaftlich von seinen Fans genannt wird - etwas breiter, als daß ein Auto mit einem 1036 Kubikzentimeter-Motörchen schnell sein kann. Das Basis-Triebwerk dieses Wagens war ein 903 Kubikzentimeter und 44 PS leistender Vierzylinder-Motor. Durch Hubverlängerung und größere Bohrung (982 ccm Motorhubraum) haben die Techniker die Leistung 1971 auf 58 PS steigern können. Doch 58 PS waren Carlo Abarth noch immer nicht genug. Eine erneute Hubverlängerung (Hub = 74,0 mm, Bohrung = 67,2 mm) verhalf dem Motor schließlich zu 70 PS. Es bedurfte aber mehr als nur dieser Hubraumvergrößerung. Zylinderkopf und Kurbeltrieb werden von der Motorenschmiede von Abarth peinlichst genau bearbeitet, sowie es in einer Groß-Serie gar nicht möglich wäre. Eine 32 mm Zweistufen-Weber-Fallstromvergaser sorgt für das Gemisch, und selbstverständlich sind Ansaugkanäle und Auspuff, Abarths, Spezialität, entsprechend ausgetüftelt. Die Höchstgeschwindigkeit, die wir mit 160 km/h gemessen haben, entspricht einer Drehzahl von 6800 U/ min. Bei Windstille und leicht bergab steht die Drehzahlmesser-Nadel im Nu bei 7000 Umdrehungen. -

Abstract: The Karl E. Ludvigsen papers 1905-2011 contain his extensive research files, photographs, and prints on a wide variety of automotive topics. The papers reflect the complexity and breadth of Ludvigsen’s work as an author, researcher, and consultant. Approximately 70,000 of his photographic negatives have been digitized and are available on the Revs Digital Library. Thousands of undigitized prints in several series are also available but the copyright of the prints is unclear for many of the images. Ludvigsen’s research files are divided into two series: Subjects and Marques, each focusing on technical aspects, and were clipped or copied from newspapers, trade publications, and manufacturer’s literature, but there are occasional blueprints and photographs.
