A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in loving memory and honor of Christopher D. Mills. It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness we learn of the premature passing of Christopher D. Mills, and we pause in silent reverence for his soul. WHEREAS, Christopher D. Mills was born on July 4, 1982, a native of Clay County, Kentucky, and he traversed these earthly bounds on January 7, 2003; and WHEREAS, Christopher D. Mills was the loving son of Darrell and Pamela Smith Mills of Manchester; he was the loving brother of a sister, Kelli Ann Hoskins of Oneida, and two brothers, Joshua Mills of Blue Hole and Roger Dylan Bowling of Littleton; and he also leaves behind his loving paternal grandparents, James Mills of Berry, Alabama, and Ruth Mills of Blue Hole, and his loving maternal grandparents, Willie Ray and Jessie Smith of Littleton; and WHEREAS, Christopher D. Mills was a member of New Home Baptist Church, he was a graduate of Clay County High School, he was employed by the Kentucky Department of Highways, and he was a member of the Kentucky National Guard; and WHEREAS, in the aftermath of this tragic accident, we are reminded of the grief and suffering afflicted upon the family and friends of Christopher D. Mills, how precious he was to his loved ones, and how his loved ones have been denied the opportunity of witnessing him reach his full potential; and we are also reminded that a life spent worthily should be measured by deeds, not years, and through his compassion and genuine love and concern for his fellow man, Christopher D. Mills is worthy of the highest commendation; and WHEREAS, the passing of Christopher D. Mills has left a void that cannot be filled, and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth; NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:
