Dixon, and is blessed with two fine sons and five 28 adoring grandchildren; and 29 30 Whereas, Patricia Dixon served Charleston County with distinction 31 in various capacities for fourteen years before being appointed a 32 summary court judge in June 1995, a position in which she has 33 served the citizens of Hollywood, Meggett, Rantowels, Ravenel, 34 and Yonges Island fairly and with integrity for thirteen years; and 35 36 Whereas, Judge Dixon has continued her growth as a summary 37 court judge through membership in the Summary Court Judges 38 Association and has gained strength to serve her community as a 39 congregant of First Baptist Church; and 40

1 [1468] 1 1 Whereas, in March 2008, Patricia Baldwin Dixon retired from 2 public service on the summary court in order to pursue other 3 pleasures; and 4 5 Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate express their 6 deep appreciation to Patricia Baldwin Dixon for her twenty-seven 7 years of distinguished service to Charleston County. Now, 8 therefore, 9 10 Be it resolved by the Senate: 11 12 That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, 13 recognize and commend the Honorable Patricia Baldwin Dixon, of 14 Charleston County, for twenty-seven years of distinguished public 15 service, upon the occasion of her retirement, and wish her success 16 in all her future endeavors. 17 18 Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to 19 the Honorable Patricia Baldwin Dixon. 20 ----XX---- 21
