Nursery: staffed Nursery care for children five and under is available for every Sunday worship service, and for many special worship services at other times as well. We prioritize providing a safe space for the children to be themselves. The kids love Miss Debbie, and she always has fun and faith-filled activities for them! Ask an usher to direct you to the Nursery when you arrive. (include pic of Debbie)
Children’s Sunday School: Meets on Sundays at 9:30am (September through May). There are three age groups that each have their own class: Preschool (non-readers): in the Nursery with Miss Debbie. Lower Elementary (beginning readers): meet in the Classroom off the Fellowship Hall (northest corner) Upper Elementary (readers): meet in the Classroom off the Fellowship Hall (northeast corner). Parents and teachers may decide together what age group is most appropriate for each child.
Jr. and Sr. High Youth: Confirmation, for 7th and 8th graders, meets two Wednesday Evenings per month from 6- 7pm. One year of this two-year program focuses on the Bible, and the other year on Lutheran traditions and the Christian Life. After two years of study, students “confirm their faith” – or affirm the promises God made to them in baptism – in a worship service. Jr. High and High School Youth meet for special events about every month. Some of our events including snow sledding, drive-in movie night, the 30 Hour Famine for world hunger, regional and national youth gatherings, a Christmas party, the Easter Breakfast, and more! Check the Calendar for events that are coming up. Youth also participate fully in many other events and activities at Trinity, including music and worship leadership, service projects, Youth may also choose to volunteer to help teach Sunday School, volunteer at VBS, or attend the Adult class on Sunday mornings.
VBS (Vacation Bible School) is held for a week each June! This year’s dates are June 12-16th, from 4:00 – 6:15 p.m. The theme this year is Maker Fun Factory: Created By God, Built for A Purpose. Children’s Communion Classes are held annually or more, and are usually the precursor to children beginning to receive Holy Communion in worship regularly. This is a fun, interactive class that includes baking the bread they will use for Communion the following Sunday! The pastor works with each family to determine the most appropriate age for beginning to receive communion, but children typically participate in this one-session class around the time they begin to read and write. Contact Pastor Matt for more information.
