Woodlands strives to meet the needs of children and young people with highly complex needs to enable them to reach their full potential. We actively promote quality inclusion across the Wood View Learning Community, where we are a key partner school. Our philosophy is that everyone has something to offer and have talents to develop. All staff at Woodlands, whether permanent or temporary, are encouraged to take an active part in developing and enhancing our quality provision.

Higher Level Teaching Assistants play an essential role at Woodlands and are highly valued by other staff, families and pupils. These posts offers the chance to develop your own understanding in this area of special education whilst also working alongside a wide range of inter-agency professionals such as therapists, medics and social care teams.

At Woodlands, there is a very positive support structure for all staff. It starts with a comprehensive induction programme, which leads on to a training programme, supervision and annual Performance Management for all staff. We strongly support the professional development of all staff to ensure that pupils’ needs are met by happy, well developed staff.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced CRB check.

Yours sincerely
