The month begins with Aswayuja Suklapurnami. This is the most auspicious and sacred month for both Shaiva's followers and Vaishnava's. It is believed that the offering of shivakavasam prayers, especially this month, brings good luck and prosperity. Karthika Masam is a favorite month for Lord Shiva among all other months. Devotees observe the map of Masu Vratham and perform various customs and rituals. It is believed that following these rituals leads them to a good life and reaches mox. Upawasams are performed every Monday. Dhanams as vastradhanam, Swarnadhanam, ghodhanamto give good results. Shiva Vishnu Rupaaya Shiva Rupaya Vishnawe. The value of Deepa dhanam is mentioned in Padma Pulanam, where the mouse, because of hunger, tried to eat ghee from a lamp offered to Lord Vishnu by devotees. But the wick of ghee stuck to the teeth, and as the wick broke out, the mouse could not stand the heat and began to jump in front of the idol of the Deity of the Lord and died because of the fire. But Lord Vishnu took the jumping of this mouse with a fire lit by a wick of ghee in his mouth, like Aarathi to him, and he granted liberation, which is the highest destination. Such is the greatness of Deep Dharam. Even one lamp, lit by God this month with devotion, destroys all the sins they have built, equal to 1,000 south. This is the best gift we can offer to God and the man who lights the lamps with sesame oil (til) to Lord Sri during Sandhya being blessed with infinite beauty, blessing, unlimited prosperity and wealth. On the day of the full moon, in Karthika Masam, on the rise of the star 'Kritiga', Hindus celebrate Karthika Deepam. A huge lighthouse burns on the holy hill of Arunhala, located in southern India. Magnetic therapy believes that bathing in any leaking river waters on Kartika (Monday) for about 15 minutes can bring relief from stomach, and liver disorders, and help maintain good overall health. List of festivals in Kartik Masam and their significance: Yama Vidhiya is the first festival celebrated in Karthik Masam. We also call it Bhagini Bhojanam, also known as the Sister Brat Festival. One day, Lord Yam's sister Yam Yami (Yamuna Devi) was upset about her brother, whom he had given her the benefit of. On the day of Yama Vidhia, who eats food in his sister's house, will be freed from sin and will not face torture in hell. Performing Rudrabhishekam that day 11 times will lead you straight to Kailasam. Lord Shiva's other name is Somesvar, who keeps a soma (crescent) on his tangled hair. Fasting to both Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva will surely bring you Moksha. The Hindu scriptures say that Kartika Masam is a sin that destroys a month. Satya Narayana Swami gives his divine blessings if we hold this vratham during this month. This is one of the easiest and best ways to be near it. Lord Vishnu, Bhagwan, who is responsible for maintaining our universe. This vratham is always fulfilled right after our desires or desires are fulfilled.

    Shravan/Shraavana Śrāva ṇa (Sanskrit: ावण ), (shraavan), (saavan) is the fifth month of the Hindu calendar. In India's national civil calendar, beginning in late July from the first day of the full moon and ending in the third week of August, the day of the next full moon. In lunar religious calendars, Śrāva ṇa begins on the new moon and is the fifth month of the year. *** according to the Gujarati Vikram Samovar calendar which starts with the month of Kartik, the Shravan month for Gujaratis is the tenth month of the calendar. This is also the 2nd month of Varsha (rainy) season. On Purnima or full moon day and during the course of the month the star 'Shravan' rules the sky; hence the month is called Shravan. This month is shrouded by several religious festivals and ceremonies and almost all the days of this month are auspicious. The month of Shravana is very important for the entire sub-continent of India as it is connected to the arrival of the South-West monsoons. For many people, the month of Shraavana is a month of fasting. Many people will fast every Monday (Somwar) to Lord Shiva and/or every Tuesday (Mangalwar) to the Goddess Parvati. Fasting on Tuesdays of this month is known locally as "Mangala Gauri Vrat" though all days during the Shravan month are considered auspicious. Shravana is considered to be a holy month in the Hindu calendar due to the many festivals that are celebrated during this time.
