Officers’ Report No Item for Discussion Presenter 1 Introduction to PTO & our goals and vision for the 2013-2014 school year. Ex: Teacher mini-grants, more Tiffany Hambright . male (daddy) involvement & more Hispanic involvement. Summer reading program. Art room will be completed by a senior at SHS for Senior project. 2 April explained the volunteer program. We want everyone to be involved and share their ideas. April Brantley .

Standing Committees No Item for Discussion Presenter 1. Fundraising Jennifer Foust o Produce Box, Spirit Nights out, Fall Festival & Spring Fling, Santa Shop, Spirit gear & Clip & Save program. Discussion was made about next school year doing a monetary donation in lieu of “sales” Parents were very excited to this idea. o Please cut and send in your box tops, we will continue to collect them throughout the year. o We will reward those who participate and turn in box tops. 2. Enrichment Committee Lisa Crabtree & o Room Reps & Mentor program explained to all parents. New parents are especially interested in the Elizabeth Sutton. Mentor program.

Hospitality Committee Jennifer Foust o Explained to PTO members about the early release Staff Luncheons. Donations of drinks for lunches are provided by parents. PTO will pay for 2 early release lunches and would like Room Reps to coordinate with classroom parents the other 2 early release lunches. 4. ECO Campus Daniel Flack & Kay o ECO Campus was discussed and explained to those about the ECO campus. Mrs. Story told her Story story of spending the summer learning about Monarch Butterflies. Mr. Flack told us ideas and visions he has for the learning outdoors and that children learn more when outdoors. 5. o

Questions & Discussion Items Discussion Items o Shelter for car rider line. Need to send out survey on who would like to donate time or materials for a shelter. o New parents would like a school “Orientation”. Several parents feel lost and would like more information about the school. Example: Eagles Nest program.
