As with each grade level there is some overlap with sight words. Do not be alarmed if you notice overlapping of words with the other word lists. If you lose this list, please email me for a new one.

As with each grade level there is some overlap with sight words. The Quizzes numbered 1-6 overlap with the Grade 3 words (which is why they are in bold). After that there are differences with the weekly spelling quizzes. I thought I would bring it to your attention so you wouldn’t think I have given your child the wrong spelling list. If you lose this list, please email me for a new one.

Because your child has been challenging themselves each week with the Grade 3 word list, they are not required to write all of the Grade 3 words today. Saying this, if you wish your child can either: * not write at all and have a well-deserved break * write the spelling test for all of the Grade 2 words * write the spelling test for all of the Grade 3 words.
...All that I ask is that you let me know in advance of your wishes.
