EMPLOYMENT AND EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

Signing Bonus for Special Education Teachers and Speech Language Pathologists Special Educations Teachers employed after November 14, 2006 will not receive the $1,000 Signing Bonus because they will not have worked the required 120 days.

Speech Language Pathologists employed after November 14, 2006 will not receive the $3,000 Signing Bonus because they will not have worked the required 120 days.

Employment Group News Dr. Phyllis Levert, HR Supervisor for Special Education, retired on October 31, 2006. She will be missed and we wish her all the best on this next chapter of her life.

If you have not submitted your administrative recommendations for SY 2007-2008, please do so today. The memo below was originally sent in the October 27, 2006 HR Weekly. To: Principals

Subject: Your Administrative Recommendations for SY 2007 - 2008

Once again this year, we need your help in identifying those people in our district, and any you may know from outside our district, whom you think are ready for promotion from:

 the classroom into administration,  administrative assistant to assistant principal, or  assistant principal to principal.

Please use the online submission form under Leadership Management on P.A.S.S. to recommend those people you feel should be considered for promotion for the upcoming school year only, 2007–2008. We need this information from you no later than Friday, November 10.

This process is confidential. Our office will not share your recommendations or your comments with these individuals; therefore, your candor will be greatly appreciated. As we have done in the past, we will only discuss your input with the area assistant superintendents and the superintendent’s senior cabinet.

SUPPORT SERVICES AND EVALUATION SYSTEMS RISK MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT

Wellstar location at 1680 Hospital Drive, Austell, listed on the Worker's Compensation Panel of Physicians, is CLOSED until further notice. Employees seeking treatment for on the job injuries are to make another selection from the panel. If an employee requires urgent medical care for an on the job incident, treatment at the Wellstar Cobb Hospital is authorized.
