MEET CLASSIFICATION: This meet is open to all Yankee Cluster YMCA member athletes and clubs who have met certain requirements.

MEET FORMAT: The meet will be swum as timed-finals.

FACILITY: The Plainville High School pool is a 6 lane, 25-yard pool with electronic timing system and excellent spectator seating. Participating teams will be assigned deck space based on team size.

SESSION TIMES: Warmups: 8:45AM, Meet Start: 9:45AM

WARM-UPS: CT Swimming Warm-Up Procedures will be in effect. Warm up lanes will be assigned prior to the meet by team size.

ELIGIBILITY: All athletes must be current athlete members of the Yankee Cluster YMCA Swim League. Age on 12/1/15 shall determine the swimmer’s age and age group for the meet. Please inform of any swimmers that need to be unattached. All athlete’s must meet qualifying time standards or have coach’s approval.

EVENT INFORMATION: All events will be pre-seeded and published in the program. It is the responsibility of each swimmer to be in his/her lane.

ENTRY LIMITATIONS: Unlimited number of events.

ENTRY TIMES: Submit entry times in SCY. Athletes must meet qualifying time standards.

DEADLINES: Entry deadline is Wednesday, February 17 th , 2016 via email to the entry chair.

ELECTRONIC ENTRIES: Electronic entries (such as from Hy-Tek Team Manager or other team management software) that are in CL2 or SD3/SDIF format may be emailed as an attachment to the entry chair at [email protected]. Please check that your team name, address, and contact information are listed correctly in this file. ENTRY FEES: $3.00 for individual events. No refunds will be given for entries that are accepted, or for entries that are rejected due to improper entry.

PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS: Please make checks payable to “Wheeler Regional YMCA”. Mail one single check from your team to: Rachel King Wheeler Tigersharks Swim Team 149 Farmington Avenue Plainville, CT 06062. Payment must be received by day of meet. Please notify entry chair if delay in payment from team.

RELAYS: No relays.

SAFETY: 1. Diving will be prohibited during warm-ups except in specifically announced one-way sprint lanes. There will be no diving in the warm-up and warm-down areas at any time 2. No shaving is permitted at the competition site. 3. No glass containers are permitted within the facility. 4. Swimmers must be under the supervision of a coach. If a swimmer arrives at the meet without a coach, the swimmer should notify the referee before he/she warms up. The referee will assign the swimmer to a registered coach for warm-ups. 5. No electronic audio or visual recording devices, including cell phones, are permitted in changing areas, rest rooms, or locker rooms.

RULES: Current USA/YMCA Swimming rules will govern all competition.

TIMERS, OFFICIALS, OR WORK ASSIGNMENTS: Wheeler YMCA will supply the majority of timers and officials. Participating clubs will be notified of work assignments if needed by the Friday before the meet.

DECK ACCESS: Only athletes, coaches, officials, and official meet staff actively participating in the meet are permitted on the pool deck.

SCORING: The meet will not be scored.

RESULTS: Preliminary results will be posted in the hallway. These results will be sent to each team’s coach at meet’s end.

AWARDS: No awards will be given.

CONCESSIONS: Yes. A concession stand will be run by the Wheeler Aqua Aides.

PARKING: Parking can be found in the back and side of the school.

DIRECTIONS: From 84 West, take Exit 33 to Route 72 West. Take Exit 2 and turn left at the end of the exit. Follow CT-372/New Britain Ave toward Farmington Ave/CT-10 for 0.06 miles. Take a slight left onto CT-10/East Street for 0.50 miles. After the light at Dairy Queen, take the first left onto Robert Holcomb Way. Pool is at the far end of High School. Follow alongside HS turn into parking near track. Pool entrance is either on far end or left side.

From 84 East, take Exit 32 for Queen St/CT-10. Turn right onto CT-10 N/Queen St. Turn right onto Robert Holcomb Way. Destination will be on the right.
