On if he watches other NFL games during the season “When you’re in season, the season never ends. If you’re watching it on TV, you’re watching the other people play, you’re in your playbook or you’re talking to teammates about certain things. That’s just how our organization is. We’re always working.”
On if the bye week was too early “It’s not up to us. The NFL puts our schedules together so we’re going to accept whatever they accept and enjoy it. Now we’re back and we’re ready to get to work.”
On the comradery on the team “The chemistry here, the determination and the will to put in the effort. The guys, we love each other. We’re a family here and that’s what [Head] Coach [Vance] Joseph preaches. We’re just going to do everything possible to continue to work hard and to fix the things we need to fix. Just go in Sunday, or whenever we play, confident because we know what we need to do.”
On his main focus “Consistency. I just continue to do the same thing over and over again. Doing everything possible to keep my body healthy and keep my mind right. Just listening to the people around me. I have great leaders that play on the O-line with me. I just trust in them and listen. A lot of the older guys that have gone through the league, I talk to them and continue to find my rhythm. It’s all just trying to figure out what works for you and just continue to stick with it.”
On the team’s mentality going forward “Like I said, more. You just have to do better. You have to be consistent. It’s nice to take care of our bodies and get away but now it’s time to get back to work. Every single week we just want more and more and more. Continue to take one game at a time, one play at a time and see where that goes.”
