Memorial Jr. High School Morning Announcements

Good morning Memorial Student and Staff. Today is Wednesday September 30th. Please stand for the pledge. I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all. Congratulations to our Students of the week: Brandon Harris, Raychelle Malone, Shoniya Woodruff, Niah Johnson, Gavin Wolski, Tamir Bell, Christian Hale, and Paige Clough

MJH Boys Soccer team defeated University school 6 -1 with goals by Mandaw seck ,Devon Thompson, LeShaun Satterwhite,Ogbonnay Obasi, James Fortunato and Alonn Green. Shut down defense led by Matt Kending, Jamel Jones, Dayne Gray,Aaron Harris and goalkeeper Sean Pierce.

Last night our boys and girls Memorial Arcs Cross County teams faced Charden, Mentor, and Solon in a cross country meet. Elena Robinson and Sheneisa Spears preformed well for the Lady Arcs. The boys had several solid performances as well including Kyron Britton, Terrell Reddix, Emanuel Auzenne, and Ak Udi. Keith Smith placed 47th with a time of 15:20, Delbert Longino placed 19th with a time of 13:40, and Arto Green placed 8th with a time of 12:52. There were 91 total boy runners that competed in last night’s meet. Congratulations to our boys and girls who represented Memorial last night in our last home meet!!! Coach Bruce is very proud of you and he said that there is no Cross Country practice tonight.

REMINIDER TO ALL NJHS STUDENTS WHO ARE APPLYING FOR OFFICER POSITIONS...APPLICATIONS, ESSAYS, AND TEACHER RECOMMENDATIONS ARE DUE THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1ST TO MRS. HOMROCK IN ROOM 104. Remember, incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Cheerleading Clinics will be held October 1st 2nd & 5th. Tryouts will be on Oct 6th. See Mrs. DiCillo in the student center to sign up for the clinics.

The word of the day is: askew. Definition: out of alignment; awry. Sentence: His hair and clothes were disheveled and his glasses were askew on the bridge of his nose.

Students are expected to walk on the right hand side of the hallway, keep your conversations with peers at quiet as possible, and only go to your lockers at the beginning of the day, at lunch, and at the end of the school day.
