OFFERTORY COLLECTIONS: Lixnaw € 1,500 Irremore € 490 Rathea € 210 SPECIAL COLLECTION – THIS WEEKEND for the Propagation of the Faith, that is, for those people on the ground who have a world commitment to spread God’s word and love everywhere. These are the unsung heroes. Please support. PADRE PIO DEVOTIONS with Rosary, Mass & Benediction take place at St. Michael’s Lixnaw on Tuesday at 7.30pm. This is the second session of our devotion to the saint of our time. Witness will be given by devotee Kathleen O’Connor of Ballybunion. The box is in place in the sacred area. LIXNAW FIRST COMMUNION ENROLMENT will take place next Saturday night during the vigil mass at 8pm. At this ceremony the children literally sign on to receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion next May. LIXNAW LITURGY GROUP meet at the Parish House next Wednesday night at 8pm sharp. It is important all members try to attend. LIXNAW HOSPICE COFFEE MORNING BRINGS IN A MASSIVE € 1, 528. 35c. The group thank everybody who supported the project. A special thank you to the boys and girls schools and to Marie’s Playschool who are always so generous. LIXNAW COMHALTAS A.G.M. will be held in Ceolann on Wednesday Oct. 17th at 8pm. New members welcome. Membership for the 2012/2013 to be paid by Oct. 19th please. AN EARLY REMINDER – SENIOR CITIZENS CHRISTMAS PARTY will be held at Ballyroe Hotel on Dec. 16th. Keep this date free and join the salt of the earth. MENTAL WELLNESS EXHIBITION. This exhibition is organised by Be Aware Suicide at the Brandon Hotel on Sunday, 21st from 10am – 7pm and Monday 22nd from 10am – 3pm. On Sunday famed rugby player, Alan Quinlan will speak on the subject of “tackling depression”.
