District 59 Choral Festival Saturday, February 28, 2015 This event is mandatory for all Grove JHS Choirs

Choral Festival: Please attend this wonderful festival to hear your child, as well as the other outstanding D59 singers, perform. Students have worked very hard preparing an awesome set of music for you to enjoy, and you will get to see them in action with a talented clinician. This is an event you don’t want to miss!

Location: Friendship JHS – 550 Elizabeth Lane, Des Plaines, IL 60018 Arlington Heights Road NORTH OR Rt. 83 (Elmhurst Rd) NORTH to Algonquin EAST (turn right) to Koplin SOUTH (turn right) Friendship will be on right side of street. Entrance is at the front of the building on Elizabeth Lane facing the residential area.

Performance Times: All choir students are required to view and write a critique of another ensemble performance. Grove’s Homeroom is 100A.

TREBLE CHOIR Arrival Time - 9:30am (to watch other ensembles) Treble Choir Warm-Up Time - 11:25am Treble Choir Performance Time - 11:50am-12:10pm

BASS CHOIR Arrival Time – 10:00am (to watch other ensembles) Bass Choir Warm-Up Time – 10:35am Bass Choir Performance Time – 11:00-11:20am

Formal Concert Attire: White (TC) or Black (BC) Tux Shirt, long black pants, black shoes and black socks.

I understand that the D59 Choral Festival is a mandatory performance and is part of my child’s grade, as mentioned in all previous materials sent home.

Festival Coral: Por favor de asistir a este festival maravilloso para escuchar a su hijo, así como los demás cantantes maravillosos del Distrito 59. Los estudiantes han trabajado muy duro para preparar un conjunto estupendo de música para que disfruten, y verlos en acción. ¡No querrán perderse este evento!

Lugar: Friendship Jr. High – 550 Elizabeth Lane, Des Plaines, IL 60018 Tomen Arlington Heights Rd. hacia el NORTE o Rt. 83 (Elmhurst Rd.) NORTE a Algonquin ESTE de vuelta a la derecha en la calle Koplin (SUR). La escuela estará a su derecha. La puerta principal esta en Elizabeth Lane.

Horas de la Presentación: Todos los estudiantes de coro tienen que ver y escribir una crítica de otra interpretación conjunta. El salón 100A es donde el Coro de Grove se reunirá.

CORO AGUDO debe llegar a las 9:30 a.m. (para ver los otros conjuntos) Hora de Ensayo - 11:25 a.m. Hora de Presentación – 11:50 a.m. a 12:10 p.m.

CORO BAJO debe llegar a las 10:00 a.m. (para ver los otros conjuntos) Hora de Ensayo – 10:35 a.m. Hora de Presentación – 11:00 a 11:20 a.m.

Vestimenta Formal para el Concierto: El Coro Agudo y Bajo debe vestir una camisa esmoquin blanca, pantalones largos negros, zapatos y calcetines negros.

Entiendo que el Festival Coral del Distrito 59 es obligatorio y es parte de la calificación de mi hijo, como ya se ha mencionado en previas comunicaciones enviadas al hogar.
