It’s a rainy day and the Berenstain family is stuck in the tree house. But never fear, Papa Bear has a great idea. The Berenstain Bear family goes to the Beartown Cinema. But the scary movie put some fright in their night. --- Conversation Questions---

1. Draw a picture of the Berenstain Bears at the movies.

2. Write a short story about something fun you’ve done on a rainy day! Write at least four sentences.

3. Draw a picture of a movie you have watched. Write two sentences about what you liked about it.

4. Write a list of all the things you could do if you were stuck on a rainy day. Write at least five things.

Introduction

1. Discuss with the children about the Berenstain Bears family. Ask them if they like them. What do they think today’s book might be about? Let’s read and find out.

2. Show the children a picture of items from a movie (EX. Tickets, popcorn, candy, coke). Ask them where you would find these things. Ask them about a movie they have seen. Today, our book is about the Berenstain Bears going to the movies. Let’s see what they watch.

3. Make copies of the book. Show the children and ask them what they think the book is about. Let’s read and find out.
