Step By Step is currently looking for Intervention Specialists for its Worthington campus and Newark Center

Major Tasks: Primary job responsibility is to facilitate group instruction to students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Intervention Specialist will monitor and report on progress students make toward identified treatment goals, demonstrate an understanding and application of ABA principles and procedures, guide classroom support staff in assisting with group instruction activities and implementation of designated pull-out sessions, and will lead designated skill set/project meetings in collaboration with supervisors. This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position with paid time off during the school year and over the summer.

Primary responsibilities:  Facilitate group instruction opportunities consistent with students' identified level of need and treatment goals, using the principles and procedures of ABA  Assist in the development of IEP objectives to ensure IEP and treatment goals are met for each student; goals will be submitted to the supervising Behavior Specialist or Clinic Director  Complete ASP & JP Quarter Reports and conduct quarterly meeting with parent/guardians  Implement specified teaching methods, record data accurately and chart individual student information  Create lesson plans for the current and following week; coordinate down- time activities  Follow and/or adapt state content standards per subject area to incorporate in group instruction periods, consistent with students' identified level of need  Correctly implement and monitor classroom behavior management system and designated student's specific behavior plans in collaboration with direct supervisor (as applicable)  Create and manage needed instructional materials for group instruction; maintain appropriate safety and structure to classroom environment  Assess students as needed (i.e. Direct Instruction, State Testing, etc. as appropriate/when indicated)

EDUCATION: State of Ohio certification as Licensed Intervention Specialist
