Information to the press
The second Energy Made-to-Measure event in Buzau, Romania took place in the premises of Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Buzau, on 2 July 2014. The event was organized by National Research & Development Institute for Textiles and Leather (INCDTP) with the attendance of 28 participants. Among the participants there were representatives of 12 textile and clothing companies, one cluster in the textile and clothing sector and two consulting companies.
The experts from INCDTP explained the importance of sustainability in the clothing industry and presented the aims and achievements of SESEC project. The first part of the meeting, presented by Dr. eng. Carmen Ghituleasa was devoted to overview of SESEC project and presentation of SESEC training modules in lighting, utilization and production machines. It raised much interest among companies. Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Buzau was also represented at the event.
The following part was dedicated to demonstration of the ESS tools. Dr. eng. Sabina Olaru explained in many details application of free self-assessment software tools for clothing sector. Demonstration of free self-assessment software tools for clothing (ESS) was followed by lively discussion and motivating conclusive statements. The tools of the ESS (SAT, EMBT and EDST) were very well received by the clothing companies that are willing to use them and benefit from their implementation.
The training platform of the project (www.euratex.eu/sesec) was presented to the participants that were encouraged to download the modules and the last versions of the tools.
The event continues with two hours tour around the 3 clothing companies that were glad to present their activity: RING TEXTILE PRODUCTION SRL, Buzau (jeans manufacturer), DATSA TEXTIL SRL, Buzau (knitwear manufacturer) and PRACTIC PRODCOM SRL, Buzau (clothing manufacture). Also, the event represented a good occasion to plan the future audits for the SET project.
