GUIDELINES FOR ANCHORAGE ADULT HOCKEY LEAGUE 2015 END OF THE SEASON PLAYOFFS

The following rules will be adhered at all times during league play. Any breaches could result in suspension. This memo contains pertinent information regarding the Ben Boeke Adult Hockey League End of the Season Tournament. Please read this thoroughly. If you have any question, please feel free to call. It is your responsibility as team captain to inform your players of the following information.

TOURNAMENT DATES: The tournament will begin on March 9th and will conclude with all championship games beginning played at Dempsey Anderson on March 21th. To find out if you qualify and when your first game is, please contact Annetta at 274-5715 on March 5th between 12 am and 3 pm. Captains only, do not have your players call. Tournament brackets will be posted in the main lobby of Ben Boeke and Dempsey Anderson and will be updated during the tournament. Standings for Fall and Winter Session will be used for tournament placement . If your team is not planning on participation if you should qualify, please let us know as soon as possible, so that another team can participate.

AWARDS: Trophies will be given for the first and second place team in each division.

TOURNAMENT RULES: House League and USA Hockey rules will be used for the tournament. All goalies that participated during the Fall and Winter season are the only goalies that can be used for tournament. 1st and 2nd periods will be 17 minutes running time. 3rd period will be 15 minutes, with the last 2 minutes stop clock unless a team is ahead by 5 goals. Then running clock will continue. Any playoff game ending in a Tie will have a 2 minute rest followed by a five minute sudden death overtime. If no goal can be scored, there will be a five on five player shootout. A head to head shoot out will continue until the score is no longer tied. A team must go through their entire bench (except goalies) before allowing the first shooter to repeat. Novice East/West players who have scored their allotted goalies in game play cannot participate in the shootout.

TIME OUT: Each team will be permitted 1 time out per game.

ROSTERS: Rosters were frozen as of February 1st. Those players on your roster are the only players allowed to participate on your team If you have any questions regarding your roster call the Arena office. A team who has a player participating who is not on the roster, will forfeit. No exceptions All players skating in the Adult Hockey League must have USA Hockey insurance. ID CARDS: All players, including goalies are required to have ID cards to participate. No exceptions.

SUSPENSIONS: Suspensions given during the tournament for fighting or abuse of the game official, will be carried over to the Summer or Fall/Winter sessions in the event that suspension cannot be served during the tournament. Remember 3 penalties in a game and you a suspended from the rest of that game.

Alaska Focus will be available during the Championship games on March 21st to take action and team shots for purchase by players.

Top 10 Teams in Beginner Novice East All 10 Teams in Beginner Novice West All 6 Teams in Advanced B All 10 Teams in Beginner C East All 6 Teams in Beginner C West ALL 8 Teams in Beginner C North

Team standings are posted on the Web Page @ www.benboeke .com and are updated daily. Standings from the Fall and Winter Session will be used to determine team placement. Any discrepancies need to be reported to Annetta Powell immediately. Standings as of March 4th will be final. No changes will be made after this date.

This tournament will be a single elimination tournament. The entry fee for the playoffs will be $100 per team and must be paid no later than Thursday, March 5th between 12 am and 3pm or you will forfeit your spot in the tournament.

Schedules will be available at this time. If your team does not wish to participate in the Tournament Please notify League Management Immediately Game Play Begins March 9th Division Championship Games March 21th

House League and USA Hockey rules will be used for the tournament. Each team is permitted 1 (one) time out per game.

All goalies that participated during the Fall and Winter season are the only goalies that can be used for tournament.

There will be a 5 minute warm up. 1st and 2nd periods will be 17 minutes running time. 3rd period will be 15 minutes, with the last 2 minutes stop clock (IF TIME KEEPER IS AVAILABLE). If a team is ahead by 5 goals, they running clock with continue

Any playoff game ending in a Tie will have a 2 minute rest followed by a five minute sudden death overtime. If no goal can be scored, there will be a five on five player shootout. A head to head shoot out will continue until the score is no longer tied. A team must go through their entire bench (except goalies) before allowing the first shooter to repeat.

In case of a shoot out in the Novice East or West division, any player has scored their permitted number of goalies during a playoff game, and the game goes to a shoot out- that player may not participate in a shoot out.
