Format- This is a USA Sanctioned Invitational Meet, All events will use positive check-in with timed finals.

Facility- Glenbrook South High School- 4000 W. Lake Ave, Glenview, Il 60025. Spectator seating for 500.

Competition Pool-Eight (8) 25 yd. lanes with Kiefer Olympiad starting blocks. The pool is 7.0’ at the start end and 15.0’at the turn end. Kiefer Wave Eater lane lines and Daktronic timing system will be used. The competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2c(4)

Entry Deadline- Must be sent to the entry chair [email protected] and will not be accepted before 9am (CST) on January 3, 2017 and will not be accepted after 11:59pm (CST) January 23, 2017.

Entries -Entries MUST be sent initially by electronic mail. No handwritten entries will be accepted. Entries must be submitted in the course in which they were achieved. Converted times should NOT be used. Non- conforming times will be seeded last. Entries submitted in Hy-Tek format require no hard copy entry forms. Email is required for electronic entries. A completed and signed Entry Summary Sheet (included in this announcement) and payment in full must be received by the Meet Entry Coordinator by the entry deadline. The host team entries will be entered first and then accept teams/entries in the order received, until the four hour rule is reached. Teams not accepted into the meet will be notified via email within 48 hours of the entry deadline.

Entry Limitations- Swimmers may enter up to 4 events per session Saturday and Sunday. GTAC reserves the right to limit the number of heats swum for any distance greater than or equal to 400 yds for 13 & over or any distance greater than or equal to 200 yds for 12 & under, in order to ensure completion of the session within a 4 hour time frame.

Seeding- The confirming time standard is SCY swimmers will be seeded and swim from slowest to fastest unless otherwise indicated. All non-conforming times will be seeded last in rank order.

Swimmers without a coach- Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming Member- coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.

Rules and Safety- This meet will be conducted in accordance with all current USA Swimming and Illinois Swimming Rules and Regulations, including Illinois Swimming Safety Rules which will be strictly enforced (except where rules therein are optional and exceptions are stated).

Eligibility- All USA Swimming registered swimmers are eligible. All swimmers must be registered prior to entry deadline. Entries listed as “Registration applied for” will not be accepted. There will be no on deck registration available. Swimmer’s age on the first day of the meet determines age group for the entire competition. Swimmers with Disabilities- Host Team welcomes all swimmers with disabilities as described in the USA Swimming Rules and Regulations, Article 105, to participate in our meet. Coaches entering swimmers with disabilities that require any accommodations are required to provide advance notice in writing to the Meet Director by the entry deadline accompanying their meet entry file, including the need for any personal assistants required and/or registered service animals. Failure to provide advance notice may limit HOST Team’s ability to accommodate all requests.

Positive Check –In- All swimmers are required to check in 30 minutes prior to the start of each session. Swimmers that fail to check in will be scratched from the event and not seeded.

Scratches- Any swimmer entered in an individual event that is seeded on the deck, in whole or in part, who has positively checked in for that event, must swim the event unless the swimmer notifies the Referee prior to the seeding of the event that the swimmer wishes to scratch. Failure to scratch prior to seeding will result in the swimmer being barred from the next individual event in which they are entered whether on the same or later meet day.

Awards- Ribbons will be awarded for 1st-8th place individual events.

Officials-will be needed for this meet. We welcome and encourage you to contact the Meet Referee by email prior to the meet. All officials and coaches must be registered and certified with USA Swimming and display their registration cards while on deck.

Hospitality/Concessions- There will be hospitality open to all coaches and officials. Refreshments will be available at the concession stand for swimmers/spectators.

Warm-ups- All current Illinois Swimming warm-up and safety guidelines will be in effect. Meet management reserves the right to change warm-up times according to the number of entries.

Deck Access- will only be granted to coaches and working officials with current USA Swimming memberships displayed.

Timers- Volunteer Timers will be needed at this meet, the host club will communicate a list of timing assignments made up of teams with ten or more swimmers. Swimmers competing in the 1650 must provide their own counters & timers.

Admission- There will be an admission charge for all spectators 18 and older.
