1.0 General This specification guide covers the general requirements for design, information/ manufacturing and installation of electronic timers. Introduction

2.0 Product features/ The devices shall be designed for all time-delayed switching product functions operations in control, starting, protective and regulating circuits. They shall be available with many timing functions or modes of operation.

The timers shall be able to provide the following time delay functions (single function and multifunction devices):

- ON-delay/ Delay on make - OFF-delay, with auxiliary voltage/ Delay on break - OFF-delay, without auxiliary voltage/ True OFF-delay - Impulse-ON/ Interval - Pulse former/ Single shot - Impulse-OFF, with auxiliary voltage / Trailing edge interval - Impulse-OFF, without auxiliary voltage/ True trailing edge interval - Flasher, starting with “ON”/ Recycling equal times-ON first - Flasher, starting with “OFF”/ Recycling equal times-OFF first - Star-delta change-over - Switching relay/ Interface relay

The desired function shall be able to be pre-selected with a front- sided rotary switch with multifunction devices and the desired time delay shall be able to be set by a potentiometer with direct reading scale. Each multifunction device shall be able to operate on 8 time ranges (0.05s-100h). Each single-function device shall be able to operate on a single time range (0.1-10 s, 0.3-30 s, 3-300 s or 0.3-30 min.)

The output contact of the device should be type 1c/o or solid-state output for high switching frequencies.

The product shall be provided with the following LED indications:

- Output relay energized (preferably red LED) - Supply voltage (preferably green LED)

The timers shall be ABB type CT-E range or pre-approved equal.
