UTS:Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery and Health offers some of the most highly regarded nursing and midwifery programs in Australia. As a result of expansion there is an opportunity to join our successful team as a Student Officer (Clinical) within the clinical placement area.

Primarily based at our leafy North Shore campus, this diverse, fast paced role is focused on planning, organising and facilitating student nursing practice placements, with specific responsibility for third year students in the Bachelor of Nursing.

With an emphasis on maintaining effective working relationships with a range of health providers, you responsibilities will include utilising your well honed negotiating and communication skills to secure placement opportunities and assist with attracting and placing Clinical Facilitators whilst drawing on your exceptional organisation skills to co-ordinate all operational aspects of the placements including records and database management and issue resolution.

Over and above this, you will have the opportunity to apply your previous experience to review and enhance administrative processes in order to increase productivity whilst ensuring a superior customer/client experience.

In your written application for this role you will be able to demonstrate your capacity to develop and implement project plans, maintain and leverage internal and external relationships and deliver customer centric service. You will thrive under pressure, and be able to clearly illustrate an ability to balance competing workloads. High level computer skills are essential and will include experience in the use of databases and Microsoft Office software.

Salary range: $53,422 to $57,842 pa. The University offers salary packaging plus attractive superannuation. A 2% salary increase will occur from 4 May 2007.
