Pope John XXIII High School Tennis

Hello everyone and welcome to Pope John tennis. Pope John summer jam tennis (practice) will start on the June 18th, 2014 if weather permits. We will have practice 3 days a week. At the present time the days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We will start at 3:00pm on the 18th of June and finish around 5:00pm. The following week will be 6:00 pm to 8:00pm. Days and times are subject to change depending on weather conditions and schedules. The summer jam tennis is open to all players at Pope John High School. These practices are not mandatory but girls tennis must be ready to play on the first day of official practice/tryouts which will be August 11, 2014.

Official Girls Tennis tryout/practice will begin August 11, 2014. These are mandatory and players must have a minimum of six practices in before participating in the first match. Practice will be held at Pope John tennis courts rain or shine. We will be going over all team rules, uniforms and practice schedules on August 11th.

Pope John tennis camp is scheduled for July 28th to July 31st Monday to Thursday from 5:00 to & 7:00 Entering grades 5 to 9. Beginners and all skill levels are welcome.

Please make sure all of your medical forms /physicals are turned into the school nurse BEFORE August 11th. You will be unable to practice if they are brought to the courts on August 11th as all physicals need to be cleared by the school physician. Reminder all Exams for physicals must be performed between June 1 and August 1st to be accepted by the school. All schedules and forms can be printed from the Pope John web site.
