I. Family group meeting of members, friends and relatives of the Trstenský Family in Trstená on 26-28 September 2008

Dear members, descendants, relatives and friends of the Trstenský Family,

We are pleased to inform you that the Preparatory Committee of the I. Family group meeting of members, relatives and friends of the Trstenský Family was founded on 28 March 2008 in Trstená. Anyone interested and willing to help is welcome to join the Preparatory Committee.

The preliminary agenda of the Meeting was discussed at the meeting of the Preparatory Committee on 29 March 2008.

Subsequently, the Preparatory Committee met Ing. Jozef Ďubjak, the Mayor of Trstená, ThLic. Ing. Jaroslav Chovanec, the priest serving in Trstená and Mgr. Tomáš Kubica, a member of the City Council of Trstená. The Preparatory Committee presented the following preliminary agenda of the Meeting: 1. The Meeting is scheduled for 26-28 September 2008. 2. The key date of the Meeting will be Saturday, 27 September 2008 with the following preliminary agenda: a. Registration of participants (8:00 – 10:00 am.) at the Trstená Cultural Centre b. 10:00 am - Holy Mass in the Church of St. Martin in Trstená followed by a gathering at the memorial tablet of Msgr. V. Trstenský c. 12:00 am - 5:00 pm - Lectures and discussion about the Trstenský Family open to anyone interested in the history of Trstená and the Trstenský Family d. Evening cultural programme 3. 28 September 2008 - free programme and an organ concert at 4:00 pm in the Church of St. Martin in Trstená (optional).

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Ing. Jozef Ďubjak, the Mayor of Trstená, for his active support and inclusion of the event in the official schedule of cultural events of the City of Trstená for 2008. We would also like to thank ThLic. Ing. Jaroslav Chovanec, the priest serving in Trstená, for his assurance to help organise the Holy Mass on Saturday, 27 September 2008. 2

It would be great if you could bring your children so they have an opportunity to learn that the past, present and future is something they can be proud of.
