Collective Soul Certification Program ( Beginner - Level 1) 18th -20th January 2012

Paulette, wants to help YOU to be the best dancers you can be!! The Gypsy Caravan Collective Soul Certification Program assists with first learning the basic language, how to best use your body, and how to be an ethical and creative artist and begin to master the levels and layers within the Gypsy Caravan Tribal Format. It has also been a proven method in bringing the tribes together from all over the world (I kid you not  ) This is an intensive program, requiring full commitment for three days, with a total number of hours to equal 15 hours. It combines various stretching, toning and drilling sessions with hours of dance practice and individualised attention from Paulette who, will support, encourage, inspire and challenge you to embrace your dance. Successfully completing and passing your testing means that you have attained Certification in Collective Soul (Level 1). You will be on the tribal road to mastering your dance, building your confidence as a dancer, strengthen and building the foundation around artistry, integrity and connecting to a global collective of women who feel the community spirit of this dance

Teacher Training Program (Level 1) 24th – 26th January 2012 A pre-requisite in Collective Soul (level 1) certification is required. Do you love this dance, aspire to teach and share it with others or, perhaps you are already doing so?? This intensive programme designed to give you the beginning dance skills, language, and technique to benefit you in your teaching methods as well as your own dance. You will gain insight into refining your teaching techniques in addition to developing Paulette's tribal dance style, class format, curriculum, and business applications. The Albany Intensive January 2011 will enable you work and dance alongside other students and teachers in training, which is highly beneficial. This intensive Teacher Training program provides 15 hours of dance training which gives you to information, practice, teaching skills and tools to teach Beginning Level One and Beginning Level Two classes in Paulette's Gypsy Caravan Tribal bellydance Style format. Take this opportunity to not only be the best dancer you can be, but step forward, be an inspiring and professional leader in your classes and access ongoing support from Paulette and other certified teachers from around the world.

* Improve your technique with Level One and Two moves

* Learn new steps and refine the moves you already know

* Build your confidence as a dancer, leading and following

* Strengthen your improvisational skills

* Learn rhythm identification and different zill patterns, and dance with them!

* Participate in discussions about tribal bellydance history, artistry, and integrity.

* Have a great time dancing together as a circle of women, feeling the community spirit of this dance!

* You will be tested at the end of the session, and if you pass, you will be certified in Gypsy Caravan's Level One Collective Soul Tribal Bellydance Movement and Certification program! In the event you do not pass at this time, you can be re-tested at a later date. No worries, it is an intensive program and some of us need longer for additional study.

* This is a pre-requisite for the Gypsy Caravan Teacher Training program and will allow you to move into Collective Soul Level Two.

The program will cover:

 History of Tribal Belly Dance  Paulette's teaching philosophy  Body awareness and warm-up exercises  Development and personal critique of dance technique and skills  Development of teaching format, class structure, and dance curriculum  Business applications  Teacher Training Manual- copyrighted and for your own personal use only

Pre-requisite :

You must have completed and passed Collective Soul (level 1)

You must have a strong desire to dance and teach with a commitment to us and yourself that you will continue to train and acquire dance skills, maintain your physical health, and be ethical in your art and business practices.

You must be familiar with both the Gypsy Caravan's style of dance and music as well as Paulette's Tribal Technique #1, #2 , #3, and #4 instructional DVDs or been regularly instructed by a teacher who is certified in Teacher’s training Gypsy Caravan Format.

Follow up: Within the first 90 days after the workshop, or after you start teaching, you must submit a letter describing how your classes are going, number of students, sample flyers for your classes, any follow up questions that I can help you with. Paulette will remain available to help answer questions and assist you in your teaching career. Another letter is due after the first year following the training. Once you have completed the Basic Teacher Training Workshop, Level One and Two, you will become eligible to continue your dance skill development through the Intermediate and Advanced Teacher Training Workshops, with certification in the required level of Collective Soul. ______Please email or post your application to Becky who will process the administration requirements, forward your application to Paulette directly. then you will be advised of the schedule and other details as they arise. Please include a recent photograph and you will also need to submit three letters of recommendation— one from your dance teacher, and two from either an employer, a student, or fellow dancer—stating why they think this is a good course for you.
