Academic Reference by University Professor / Lecturer

Attachment to the application for a scholarship of the Studienförderwerk Klaus Murmann of the Foundation of German Business (sdw).

With its scholarship program, the foundation of German Business supports young students of all study areas, who – according to their ambitions and capabilities – will hold increased responsibility in our society and contribute to shape our future.

The foundation does not look for perfect personalities; instead, it looks for people with extraordinary potential. A basic principle of the foundation in selecting and promoting its scholars is to strengthen entrepreneurial thinking and acting with a strong sense of social responsibility.

When aiming to select appropriate scholars, who are academically strong and expect an above average degree, the reference of a university professor/lecturer is crucial for our considerations. Therefore, we ask you to apply rigorous evaluation standards in your reference.

In your reference, please explain

- the background your evaluation is based on and

- how the student’s performance is to be evaluated against his/her peers.

We would like to ask you to supply your evaluation to the student (preferably in a closed envelop). He/she will then attach it to the other application documents. You may provide additional comments on an extra sheet if you wish.

We appreciate your kind support and would like to thank you! Academic reference for
