Gahanna High School Swim Team Members,

If you do NOT belong to a summer league swimming team during the summer months or another USA Swimming or Y Swimming club team then this letter is for you! If you are already a member of another pool’s summer league team, USA Swimming or Y Swimming club team this letter should simply be discarded.

GCSTO & The Gahanna Sea Lions summer league team are teaming up to offer to try and help keep swimming available, affordable, challenging and FUN for you during the high school off-season. As such, we are providing the following incentives to GHS Swimmers to join GCSTO and/or the Gahanna Sea Lions this spring and/or summer.

GCSTO trains at the Columbus Academy in Gahanna and/or the St. Charles Preparatory School in Bexley in the spring and then GCSTO & the GSL both train at the Gahanna Swimming Pool during the summer. Here are the incentives that we wish to extend to you as a member of Gahanna Lincoln High School’s High School Team.

GCSTO SPRING INCENTIVE PROGRAM FOR GAHANNA HS SWIMMERS 1 - If you have not been on GCSTO before and decide to join our program this spring for the very first time we will provide you with a 25% discount off of your GCSTO team fees this spring as an incentive to get involved in club swimming and to continue to train year around. We will allow you to try the team out for 1 week so that you can participate in practices and see if the quality of our program is what you are looking for in terms of a team environment. After that 1 week trial period you may choose to continue on with the program or not… the choice will be yours. Practices start April 3 and go through May 28 and you have the opportunity to participate in our full time program (up to 4-5 practices a week) or our part-time program (2-3 practices a week). GCSTO SUMMER INCENTIVE PROGRAM FOR GAHANNA HS SWIMMERS 1 - If you have not been on GCSTO before and decide to join our program this summer for the very first time we will provide you with a 25% discount off of your GCSTO team fees this summer as an incentive to get involved in club swimming and to continue to train year around. To clarify, this WILL still be applicable even if you started swimming with us this spring for the very first time. If you didn’t swim with us this spring we will allow you to try the team out for 1 week so that you can participate in practices and see if the quality of our program is what you are looking for in terms of a team environment. After that 1 week trial period you may choose to continue on with the program or not… the choice will be yours. Practices start June May 30 and go through July 14 and you have the opportunity to participate in our full time program (up to 4-5 practices a week) or our part-time program (2-3 practices a week). Morning and evening practices are available.

GCSTO/Gahanna Sea Lions SUMMER SWIMMER INCENTIVE PROGRAM FOR GAHANNA HS SWIMMERS 1 – If you are a member of the Gahanna’s High School swimming team and do not join GCSTO in, either, the spring and/or summer, we will still offer you a 25% discount on your GSL team fees for the summer due to the fact that you are a Gahanna High School swimmer.

2 – If you are a member of the Gahanna’s High School swimming team, join GCSTO in the spring OR summer (but not both) and join the GSL, we will offer you another 20% discount on your GSL team fees for the summer due to the fact that you are a Gahanna High School swimmer for a total of 45% reduction on your GSL team fees.

3 – If you are a member of the Gahanna’s High School swimming team, join GCSTO in the spring AND summer both), and join the GSL, we will offer you yet another 15% discount on your GSL team fees for the summer due to the fact that you are a Gahanna High School swimmer for a total of 60% reduction on your GSL team fees.

GCSTO/Gahanna Sea Lions SUMMER DIVER INCENTIVE PROGRAM FOR GAHANNA HS DIVERS 1 – If you are a member of the Gahanna’s High School diving team there is obviously no program that GCSTO offers to divers in the spring and/or summer but we will STILL offer you a discount on your GSL team fees for the summer due to the fact that you are a Gahanna High School diver. However, we will offer you a 30% discount on those fees since there is no other opportunity with GCSTO to be awarded any additional GCSTO participation discounts. SPECIAL NOTES

Sibling Participation Opportunity: If you take advantage of any of these programs and you have little brothers and/or sisters who will one day be Gahanna High School Swimmers and/or Divers we will extend these offers to them this spring and summer, as well! Again, this is only applicable to those who have not been members of another club or summer league team so that this incentive program is not seen as a recruiting tool to take away athletes from other programs. GCSTO prides itself on its’ “non-recruitment” policy of athletes away from other teams at any level thus the reason for this singular proviso.

Employment Opportunity: Please remember that GCSTO offers an extremely extensive swimming lesson program to the community. We are actually the ones that teach swimming lessons at the Gahanna Swimming Pool and at Hunter’s Ridge for the City of Gahanna. We teach at several other locations, as well, and we are looking for some GREAT lessons instructors for the summer. Starting pay is around $12+ per hour. We also offer lessons to underprivileged children through the USA Swimming Foundation’s Make A Splash program and are always looking for instructors there who can help and, not only get paid, but receive community service hours, as well. We are also applying for a grant with Autism Speaks to offer lessons to autistic individuals so there may be even more opportunity to receive additional community service hours. In all cases you must be Life Guard certified just FYI.
