Following the evaluation of your last year’s performance, I am pleased to reappoint you to the position of (insert title: Postdoctoral Researcher, Postdoctoral Fellow, or NRSA Postdoctoral Fellow) with Professor (insert name). Your reappointment will be effective for one year only, beginning (insert date). You will be supported on grants awarded to Professor (insert name) at an annual rate of (insert annual amount), to be paid in accordance with the monthly payroll schedules of the University of Pennsylvania and prorated for the time period worked.

You may continue with your existing health coverage or you may wish to change during the open enrollment period of the University. As before, single coverage for you will be supported by grant funds and will not be deducted from your stipend. If you desire family coverage, you will be required to pay the additional premium.

For non U.S. citizens, this offer is contingent upon possession of a valid visa. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in compliance with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) policies. If you have questions or concerns, you must contact the Office of International Programs.

At the end of your appointment, please return your keys, University ID Card, and any other University property, including primary research notes, to (name of supervisor). You should then contact the University’s Benefits Center at 1-888-736-6236 to discuss your benefits coverage.
