There are two activities to complete for this assignment.

Activity 1: Reporting on a "World Citizen" Who is Canadian

Create a report on one of the following people. Each individual listed has a website link that will help you decide who you want to research.

Once you have chosen your candidate, you can start gathering the following information. Your report should include:

1. A picture of the person.

3. Describe his/her citizenship by answering the following questions: i) What did your candidate do to make a difference in Canada? ii) Why can your candidate be considered a global citizen who is concerned with social justice? iii) What lasting effects did your candidate's actions have on Canada and the world (e.g., environmental, scientific)?

Activity 2: Create an Organization to Promote Peace and Justice

Create an organization that would provide people with the opportunity to make a global difference. Base this organization on issues similar to those addressed by the famous individuals in Activity 1.

Be sure to include:

1. the name of your organization,

2. a creative logo

3. a mission statement

4. your organization's goals
