“Prevention is Key to stay Healthy”
Cover Your Cough Cover your coughs and sneezes in the crook of your arm, sleeve or with a tissue. Put used tissues in the trash immediately. Try to stay at least three feet away from others who are coughing.
Wash Your Hands Often Wet hands with warm water and rub hands together with soap for at least 20 seconds. Teach children to sing the Happy Birthday song or the Alphabet song to ensure enough time to get rid of germs. Scrub nails by rubbing them against the palms of your hands. Dry your hands thoroughly with a paper towel and use it to turn off the faucet. Use alcohol based hand sanitizers when you are on the go.
Keep Your Environment Clean Clean surfaces and commonly shared items like: Door knobs, toys, remote controls, phones, light switches, microwave and refrigerator handles, toilet seats, and faucets with disinfecting wipes or a bleach solution containing ¼ cup of bleach with 1 gallon of water. Allow solutions to remain in contact on surfaces for 2 minutes to ensure that the contagion is eliminated.
