VI. Old Business.

Youth Ministry: 1. The Youth meeting was held 8 Sep 02 with the participation of Tom Hodgini and wife, CPT Vetter, Rafael Ortiz and wife. Tom thanked Mrs. Ortiz for the donation of the pizzas. Some ideas were discussed to include a Bible study Book. The first few meetings will be to build the group, find out their interest and later start with the Bible study book. 2. Tom Hodgini suggested that a board or committee should be formed to oversee the Youth program. This board will be responsible for the Youth Program; Chp Fowler will be the chairperson of this board/committee. George Cooper motioned to accept the motion and Chp Goff seconded the motion. The committee will be called Advisory Committee for Youth Program.

Fellowship: 1. Chp Fowler talked about the “Soup for eight”; this will be a volunteer participating program. It will involve some families getting together for soup and fellowship; this will be in a rotational basis. There will be a bulletin insert announcing it on 29 Sep and 6 Oct. This will be done either monthly or by monthly, 9 Nov 02 will be the start date. 2. 29 Sep 02 will be our “Sing-A-Long” service with Frontier Chapel. The Service will be from 1830-1930; there will be some congregational singing, special music, and probable the choir.

Outreach. 1. George Cooper made a table display and was at the last CG briefing. George is working on an update for the display. Chp Goff suggested that we need a mission statement to be put at the display, also talked about some ideas to announce the chapel services (magnets, chapel cards, pen or pencils, etc.).

VII. New Business.

1. Operation Christmas Child with Frontier Chapel was announced in the bulletin. This will be a combined effort with Frontier Chapel. All the important dates will be put in the chapel calendar.

Comments: Lois Whetstone asked if it was possible to reserve a date a year out. Chp Fowler stated that the only concern was the tracking of it. As long the system is tracked there should be no problem.

George Cooper stated that the chapel has come a long way in a short time for the better.

Tom Hodgini requested that we continue to pray for the chapel and its ministry.

VIII. Adjournment/Benediction. Chaplain Fowler closed the meeting with a prayer at 2020.
