Volunteer Corporate Credit Union *Position Title: Internal Auditor *Location: Nashville, TN *Position Type: Negotiable Compensation: Salaried Start Date: ASAP

*JOB DESCRIPTION  Conduct Audits to assess and advise management of effectiveness of controls; accuracy of financial records; efficiency of operations, through testing; examination of records; inspection; personal interviews and analysis  Provide consultative advice on the design and/or implementation of new products or changes to procedures to ensure adequate controls are in place.  Cooperate with external auditors, as necessary.  Ensure VolCorp remains compliant with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures and practices.  Prepare written and verbal reports and findings.  Candidate must maintain confidentiality as the position is privy to company records.  Maintain adherence to the Institute of Internal Auditor’s mandatory guidance including the Definition of Internal Auditing, The Code of Ethics, and International standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards).

Travel: Little to no travel Education: Degree Preferred; Current CPA or Certified Internal Auditor classification; Ability to work with spreadsheets and word processing; Financial Reporting and Accounting

Experience: Two years Internal Audit Experience in a Financial Institution

Certification: Knowledge of COSO’s Internal Control-Integrated Framework; Experience with Risk Assessments
