Sara Aghamohammadi, M.D. Philosophy of Care It is a privilege to care for children and their families during the time of their critical illness. I strive to incorporate the science and art of medicine in my everyday practice such that each child and family receives the best medical care in a supportive and respectful environment. Having grown up in the San Joaquin Valley, I am honored to join UC Davis Children's Hospital's team and contribute to the well-being of our community's children. Clinical Interests Dr. Aghamohammadi has always had a passion for education, she enjoys teaching principles of medicine, pediatrics, and critical care to medical students, residents, and nurses alike. Her clinical interests include standardization of practice in the PICU through the use of protocols. Her team has successfully implemented a sedation and analgesia protocol in the PICU, and she helped develop the high-flow nasal cannula protocol for bronchiolitis. Additionally, she has been involved in the development of pediatric pain order sets and is part of a multi-disciplinary team to address acute and chronic pain in pediatric patients. Research/Academic Interests Dr. Aghamohammadi has been passionate about Physician Health and Well-being and heads the Wellness Committee for the Department of Pediatrics. Additionally, she is a part of the Department Wellness Champions for the UC Davis Health System and has given presentations on the importance of Physician Wellness. After completing training in Physician Health and Well-being, she now serves as a mentor for the Train-the-Trainer Physician Health and Well-being Fellowship. -

Graduate Faculty of Environment, University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran Received: 18.08.2017 Accepted: 31.01.2018 ABSTRACT: As the largest service industry in the world, tourism plays a special role in sustainable development. Geomorphic tourism is known to be a segment of this industry with lower environmental impact and underlying causes that explain lower demand; therefore, it is essential to study, identify, assess, plan, and manage natural tourist attractions. As such, the present study assesses the ability of geomorphological landforms of Haraz watershed, one of the major tourism areas of Iran. In this regard, the features of geomorphologic landforms, including Mount Damavand, the Damavand Icefall, Shahandasht Waterfall, Larijan Spa, and Deryouk Rock Waterfall in different parts of the Haraz watershed have been compared from the standpoint of geotourism features. To assess these landforms, geological maps, topographic and aerial photos, satellite imagery, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and data field have been used as research tools. Evaluation results demonstrate that the average of scientific values in these landforms’ catchment (with 0.76 points) has been greater than the average of other values. These high ratings show the landforms’ potentials to be informative to those examining them for the purpose of education as well as tourist attraction. -

New Ten Varieties and Five Subspecies of Crocus Baalbekensis K. Addam & M

Bou-Hamdan (Iridaceae) endemic to Lebanon added to the Lebanese flora Abstract Volume 4 Issue 6 - 2019 Fifteen new world record Crocus baalbekensis var. decorus, fluctus, flavo-album, 1 2 makniensis, youninensis, rasbaalbekensis, rihaensis, shaathensis, shlifensis, tnaiyetensis, Khodr Addam, Mounir Bou-Hamdan, Jihad subsp. ahlansis, anthopotamus, fakihansis, harbatansis, and rassomensis, joined the Takkoush,3 Kamal Hout4 Lebanese flora and particularly the Iridaceae family. They were found in Baalbek-Hermel 1Head, Integrative and Environmental Research Center, AUL from North Baalbek to Hermel. All of them display C. Baalbekensis but vary in many Beirut, Lebanon 2 taxonomic details. The Evolution of Pollinator–Plant Interaction Types in the Araceae

An- tagonistic plant–pollinator interactions, in which flowers offer no rewards, are rare and concentrated in a few families including Araceae. In the latter, they involve trapping of pollinators, which are released loaded with pollen but unrewarded. To understand the evolution of such systems, we compiled data on the pollinators and types of interactions, and coded 21 characters, including interaction type, pollinator order, and 19 floral traits. A phylogenetic framework comes from a matrix of plastid and new nuclear DNA sequences for 135 species from 119 genera (5342 nucleotides). The ancestral pollination interaction in Araceae was recon- structed as probably rewarding albeit with low confidence because information is available for only 56 of the 120–130 genera. Bayesian stochastic trait mapping showed that spadix zonation, presence of an appendix, and flower sexuality were correlated with pollination interaction type. In the Araceae, having unisexual flowers appears to have provided the morphological precon- dition for the evolution of traps. Compared with the frequency of shifts between deceptive and rewarding pollination systems in orchids, our results indicate less lability in the Araceae, probably because of morphologically and sexually more specialized inflorescences. -

Eminium regelii Vved was discovered on the territory of Kazakhstan national reserve Aksu-Zhabagly. Distinctive biological characteristic of Eminium regelii is a wedge-shaped base of a leaf that smoothly turns into petiole. Leaf base of Eminium lehmannii is heart-shaped or obtuse-angled. Specific weight of aluminium is the greatest of all 21 elements contained in over-ground and underground parts of plant. Leaves contain 24% of aluminium and tubers contain 66% of aluminuim of all amount if mineral elements. Two flavonoids are discovered in Eminium regelii: luteolin and quercetin. The family contains 105 genera and 3300 species. About 90% of the genera and about 95% of the species are found in tropical areas. It contains species of medical value and used as food among the public. Arum, Biarum, Dracunculus, Eminium, and Arisarum are the most important genera in Turkey. As a result of the study, the authors found that eleven Arum, one Biarum, and one Dracunculus taxa are used as herbal medicine in Turkish Traditional Medicine. One of them is endemic: Arum rupicola var. rupicola Boiss. It has been determined that taxa of the family are mostly used by local people for hemorrhoid, eczema, rheumatism, and cancer.
